Editing the family tree

I was wondering if it was possible to edit the faction family trees by adding more family members from the start.

Where and how could I edit the file?

You need to use the assembly kit (you can download it from the tools menu on steam) and edit the startpos under form launcher. Magnar has great Youtube videos on a lot of modding subjects I would suggest looking at those to get a good idea of what the process is like.
