Icon5 Can I get some help, please?

I played Stainless Steel a long time ago, and I miss the hell out of it, so I decided to install it again. However, even though I think I did everything right (Got the files into Steam/SteamApps/common/Medieval2TotalWar/mods/stainless_steel, made sure to install SS6.3 with SS6.4), I am getting the following error:

    "kingdoms.exe is not found

Are you sure you have kingdoms in your game folder?"

Or something along the lines of that, I cannot remember as I uninstalled the thing an hour ago and I can't remember how the error goes.

I tried using the batch file that was in the following thread, apparently fixing this issue (I think), but to no avail.

    Any help, please, guys?

Have you tried making a copy of medieval2.exe and renaming it Kingdoms.exe? If you haven't try it and place the newly made Kingdoms.exe into this directory "Steam\steamapps\common\Medieval II Total War".
You could also try renaming SS6.3 to something like "americas" and renaming the original americas mod folder to something like "americas_1". Run the americas or any other kingdoms campaign on steam and it should trick the game into running Stainless Steel. Though I recommend the first option I listed since in my opinion it is the best and easiest way to go.

I already tried the first option listed, though I didn't try renaming the SS folder to "americas" or something similar. Thanks for the tip, I'll edit this post when I get back and share the result, though I'll sleep now

Nevermind on my promise to edit my post, apparently I must have at least 25 posts and be here for a week to edit, so that's kinda annoying for me.

Anyways, YES! It works! The method where I just have to rename the SS file to something like: "americas" totally works. Thank you so very much, this thread can be locked now if needed.
