    Icon5 Voice Acting

Question; Will the mod have it's own voice acting? Because I can imagine some French King talking like a Roman, and having Spanish troops shout 'LEGIO PARATE!' Will the mod take out voices or will it add voices. Because I would love to have some new general speeches.

Im not sure modders can add voice files to the game, but if they can im guessing they would just rip them from med 2 (which is a good thing)

Not possible but you have to use universal lines like Archers! Heavy cavalry at your command! and so on.But lines like English longbows! Will be impossible to add without CA modding tool.

Nope, somebody has to be kind enough to make a tool to mod the sound and music files for Attila.

Italian voice actor, Confederate battle flag profile picture (old American icon) , and your name is Horatio Hornblower (a fictional Englishman) ... that's a strange mix there, haha.

There is however a mod that removes all the lines, I think it would be better than hearing the immersion breaking vanilla ones

@KAM, not yet at least, but there is still the very possibility of somebody creating the tools for it like in Rome 2. That is a far more closer hope than having a fully functional campaign map editor.

@Horatio, we do not have the tools for editing sound yet, but you can still provide a list of tracks for the Italians when the opportunity to edit sounds do arrive. I'll provide a quick list below, but feel free to interpret however you think Italian faction troops would have said in the Medieval Ages.

Generic European Cheering dialogue such as "God bless us our strength!," "Praise be to God!," "We will smite these idiots to Hell!," "Kill the Heathens!"

Unit Selection such as "Crossbows!," "Mounted Crossbows!," "Spear men!," "Men at Arms!," "Knights!," "Pike men!," "Pole Arms!," "Nobles!," "Hand Gunners!," "Catapult!," "Cannon!," "Trebuchet!," "Ballistae!," "Archers!," "Horse Archers!," "Axe men!," "Swords Men!," "Bombard!," "Javelins!" and so on..

Unit Formations such as "Turtle!," "Wedge!," "Schiltron!," "Shield Wall!," "Loose Formation!," "Tight Formation!," "Square!" (equivalent to syntagma), "Hedgehog!" (equivalent to phalanx), "Diamond!," "Triangle!," and maybe more..

Unit Commands such as "Forward!," "Run!," "Brace yourselves!," "Use Fire!," "Aim there!," "Loose!," "Loose at will!," "Mount!," "Dismount!," "Attack!," "Charge!," "Retreat!," and more..

Unit Chatter to which you may interpret or create however you like. Here are some ideas.
    1) "What was in that soup last night? I could not stop pooping!" "Ewwww."
    2) "I wonder what their women smell like?" "Better than me."
    3) "I have to pee?" "What?" "I got to pee..." "Aim towards John's leg."
    4) "Stop farting! I can't hear the commander!"
    5) "I pray to God for my life, and to see my family once again." "Amen."
    6) "Hey John!" "What!" "Your bread taste like ****!" "I'll feed you more ****!"

    Rout dialogue such as,
    1) "Run away!"
    2) "God save us!"
    3) "Help me! Help me! HELP ME!"
    4) "Please don't kill me! PLEASE DON'T KILL ME!"

Well, it was only released because CA released a tool for it and only for music editing and not voice editing (at least I've never seen any mod that did it, not saying that it never happened). But true in case of the second sentence, it is still more likely then campaign map editor. I think only Shogun 2 got one from CA and it wasn't the easiest one to manage.

Even if there are no sound editing tools over released for Attila, it's lucky that a good chunk of voices in the base game are either pretty generic for all unit types, or have nice religious touches - Christian Romans and Christian barbarians would be pretty okay for most of the European factions in the mod (Romans as the generic Western European and Greek Orthodox voice set, barbarians as the Northern Europeans and Slavic Christians (including Balkan ones), for example). Guys like Lithuania could use the pagan barbarian voice set. Nomads (Cumans, Mongols, Volga Bulgars etc.) also have a voice set from the Huns. The Muslims are stuck with the Persian voice set, but I suppose it works for the most part... Which reminds me - how do the Imams in Age of Charlemagne speak? Didn't play as Cordoba yet, but it's still nice that they are there as a possible agent model to use, since Roman priests look pretty okay for Christians.

    @ Slytacular ok, we'll see.

@ IAssassinII The fact that I'm italian doesn't prevent me from having a few interests...
