    Slytacular is probably right, then.
What a shame, but atleast we know that campaign map modding is possible, IF they are not lying. Even if they won't share their secret after releasing the mod, I am sure people will figure out how to do it anyway by studying the data of that mod. Anyway, considering that they are speaking of "reality of it in the mod", can you ask them to share more screenshots, preferable even videos? If they do we have confirmation that they are serious and not just ing with us with Photoshop.

If you are considering of adding Moldavia either as playable or just as an additional starting faction now or in the near future the proper name would be Bishopric of Milkovia or the original name of Civitas de Multo/Multa or the general accepted version of Mulda even if some name it Civitas de Mylco or simply Episcopatus Milkoviensis of Moldaviae Oppida Milko 1227 for converting the Cumans, Bordinians and Vlachs rather than the dull "Bazaraad Voivodes" as this was the reason why they came here and not Terra Lytua of Lytuoy or Letin from "Latin" 1241-1242 or Banate of Severin of Ban Luca built in 1228, with a official Ban from 1233, inhabited by Hungarians, Saxons, Cumans and Vlachs from 1234 and with a Episcopate only since 1238 well guarded later by the Hospitallers of the Kenazates of John and Farkas and with the Hungarians colonising Terra Harszoc and the strong Swabian County of Temeswar nearby.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

These Cumans, the ruling class, the elite, namelly the Burciu that gave the Mamluks Bey-Bars and Basarab or Bessarab that gave Bezeren Ban who defeated the Mongols on it's own, after these humiliated the Cumans, Kievans including Halych and Suzdal and Bordinians at Khalka, the Hungarian Imperial Army of Hungarians and Croatians, made the Holy Roman Emperor assemble the Great Army, defeated a joint force of Szeklers and Vlachs gathered to guard the Carpathians, three armies of Saxons and a mixed Vlach and Slav army of Transalpina led by Mislav.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

The Burciu and Bessarab Clans, second and third after the Terteroba of Khoten and maybe the Asen of Bulgaria chose this Dominican Episcopate of Vrancea 1227 and the later, the Bazaraads chose the Teutonic Bishopric of Fogaras and Amlas, area inhabited by Vlachs and Saxons, Catholic Episcopate set since 1211, later known as Alutus or Ilaut of Bezerenbam or Ban Bezeren, Bazaraad, Bazarad, Bazarab, Bezarab, Basarab, Bessarab 1241-1242 of the larger Burzenland colonised by Saxons since 1192 and held by the Teutones between 1211-1225 also known as Silva Blachorum et Bissenorum since 1224 when Pechenegs were aknowledged there alongside Vlachs and Saxons even if it was their last stronghold after defeated by Varangians and Cumans in the service of the Byzantines that ended their hegemony, where they retreated with many of the Jasz and Oghuz that followed them.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

Bazaraads chose this place as it was weak after the Hungaro-Teutonic war for the Siebenburgen for expanding all the way to Kronstadt 1203 in Cumania where they build the impressive Castle of Brassovia strong enough to resist the Mongols and Tartars in 1241 and their banishement in 1225. From there they descended into Terra Harszoc, Gyulafehervar and Hunyad taking over Terra Lytua of Barbath and joining Ladislau Apor against Otto of Bavaria who Thocomerius imprisons in Hatzeg in 1307. He might have been settled in Deva since 1267 from where he took Terra Lytua from Barbath in 1279 after Lytuoy is killed in battle fallowing a 7 year bloody war. He gets ill and dies in 1310 followed by Basarab who becomes de facto ruler in 1315 and defeats the Hungarians in 1330.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

If Radu Negru descends in Campo Longo in 1290 and takes Transalpina with the Saxons of Laurencius' approval that would mean Basarab and Thocomerius ruled over both regions but question is was Radu and Thocomerius the same person or did in fact Thocomerius, father of Basarab come from Hatzeg as the etimology proves and Basarab took Campo Longo from Radu. Given the fact that Radu will be a common given name in both the Basarab and Dracula dynasties I would say that Radu was the one doing all the hard work in Hatzeg and Terra Lytua and also subduing Transalpina who gave up willingly after this mighty conquerer appeared before the gates and Thocomerius took all the merits while Laurencius continued to meticulously govern Campo Longo. Thus Basarab established his capital at Targoviste after Hatzeg went back to Hungary during Charles I.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

The Hungarians kept only the Szeklers or Szekely of Terra Siculorum, Szekelyfold or Szeklerland as loyal borderguards and establishing a Transylvanian Voivodeship with the Voivode ruling over all of Transylvania including the Saxon Free Cities of Nosnerland, Klausenburg and Kronstadt, Terra Harszoc, Kenazate of Kukulovar and Swabian Free City of Arad, superior to both the Count of Hermannstadt that took the place of the Knights and settled in Cybinum built since 1191, the first Saxon city, ruling over Rosenau, Schasbrich, Medwesch, Broos and other few lesser forts and last but not least the Count of Szekely who later on, together with the Vlachs of Maramaros will defeat a consecutive raid of Cuman-Moldavians and Tartars that devastated the Saxon, Swabian, Szekler and Hungarian settlements plundering all in their path, chasing them all the way back to Black Cumania where ultimatelly Dragos of Maramaros will subdue them thanks to it's superiour Vityaz guard cavalry contingents, fearless warriors and skilled hunters of the wild buffalo.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

The Burciu Clan and it's splinters, the Bazaraads will thus rule over the Upper Moldavia from the south: Vrancea, Bacau, Buzau, Barlad of the Bordinians or Brodniks and Berladniks while the Jasz and Vlachs will preffer the plains of the North. They will continue to be present in their old homeland of Budjek, the Pontic Steppe especially in Cahul and Izmail, Dobrudja and Baragan namely Tulcea, Braila, Galati, Ialomita, Calarasi and Giurgiu but they will continue to migrate also in the safer mountainous area of the Pechenegs thus moving towards Fagaras, Covasna, Rasnov, Brasov, Sibiu, Hateg, Hunedoara and descending into Dolj, Olt, Gorj, Arges and Teleorman, their new summer residence, Oltenia while also benefiting later on from the rich Saxon colony of Campo Longo 1290 led by Laurencius, part of the former Transalpina 1241-1242 of the defunct Mislav 1241 and the weak Seneslav 1247 ruling over Vlachs and Slavs. Probably they raised cattle while the Vlachs sheep and goats.

See: names of Burciu, Borcea, Bertzi, river Borcea (Bortz-Membrok and his son and heir Burch), names of Coman, Comaneci, settlements and monasteries of Comarnic, Comana, Comrat (Cumans), monastery of Cozia (Khazars), settlement of Copceac (Kypchaks), village of Tatarbunari (Terterobans), villages of Basarabeni, Basarabeanca, Basarabasa, name of Basarab (Bazaraads), villages of Peceneaga, Pecineaga, forrest of Pecineaga, mount Picineagul, Negoiu, villages of Beseneu, Besenova, Beseniofalva, Bezeniofalva, Besimbac, names of Neagu, Neagoe, Goe (Pechenegs), Caracal (Kankali, Qanqli, Kangly, Kara Kitai, Kara Kitan), Horezu (Kwarezmians), Ozun (Oghuz), Gagauz (Gok-Oghuz) etc.

If the player wants to create Wallachia or Moldavia, it's his choice... becoming a Voivode while also keeping grasp of the ancestral Bessarabia with the important old fortresses Kilia and Akkerman where the echo of the great Basarabeni is still loud to this day or even sticking to the tribal organisation of the original Bortz-Membrok Khagan of Black Cumania, Jassiorum Municipium, Aski or Civitas Iassiorum of the Jasz, Terra Bordini 1222 and the Saxon Episcopate of Moldva or Stadt Molde, later known as Moldvabanya or simpy Baia, the oldest city of Moldavia attested as Civitas Moldaviae or Moldaviensis since 1209, after the fled of the Pontic Steppe Khoten former Khagan of the White Cumania. Bortz Khagan and his son Burch Khan ruling the Bogatyr Vityaz tribal domination of the Cuman led Pechenegs and Vlachs rather than the Slavic Boyar and Knyaz one is due to the player. Also using the Basarabids as border guards loyal to the Angevines or becoming their own masters, taking the religion and customs of their beloved Vlach followers even. So from this faction three states can evolve: Khunsag, Wallachia or Moldavia.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

I would go with N. Iorga and N. Djuvara and propose this line for the Ordo Praedicatorum Dominicani Episcopatus Milkoviensis de Moldaviae Oppida Mulda 1227 in Cumania and Terra Bordini subordinated to the Saxon Episcopate of Civitas Moldaviae or Moldaviensis/ Stadt Molde 1209 from Black Cumania adjacent to White Cumania but superiour to the Teutonic Bishopric of Fogaras 1192/ 1211-1225, Burzenland and Silva Blachorum et Bissenorum 1222/ 1224 and the line of Bortz-Membrok 1227, Burch 1227, Bezeren 1241, Lytuoy 1247-1279, Barbath 1279, Laurencius 1290, Radu 1290, Thocomerius 1307, Basarab 1310/ 1315.

It is very important to add that the place where the Cumans migrated last, namely Valcea (Hospitaller Kenazate of Farkas), Olt and Gorj (Voivodate of Lytuoy) and Dolj, Teleorman and Ruse (Hospitaller Kenazate of John, most likely Johannitsa Kaloyan) were inhabited by the old Vlachs that came from Rome as they were called by the Byzantines and only the Vlachs from Severin and around migrated north of the Danube from Macedon, Epirus, Thessaly and Thrace as to inhabit the Bulgarian city of Vidin and it's northern domains including a citatel next to the future Hungarian Severin, around Mehedinti, Drobeta the fortress and tower and Caras-Severin, Caransebes the Franciscan Abbey. Cities such as Zimnicea, Demnitzikos, Dezimnikos or Dzimnikes XII AD and Cherven XI AD date back since the Dacians and were the place of a separate faction under Cherven, independent of Constantinople who will unite with the Asen Tsardom of Bulgars and Vlachs through marriage of John Asen with Mary of Cherven. At Cherven Basarab will build a monastery called Basarabovo even if since 1235 it will become a cultural and religious centre of the Second Bulgarian Empire with many more monasteries being built in the rocky region, carved in stone around the cliffs. The reason is the great influence over Vidin due to family ties just like it happen in the past when John Assen became the son-in-law of the Red Emperor well known in myths and fairy tales transmitted orally. The peaceful cohabitation of both Ruse and Teleorman by Bulgarians and Vlachs is proved by the present day village of Gaurciu that preserves a archaic form of the Bulgarian language in the Burnas or Burnaz field and afterall it would be absurd to consider that a river would eliminate any collaboration no matter how vast it is. Basically this area was a connection betwen two realms and it stayed this way no matter of who controlled the borders, a porto franco if you want. These two settlemets will also be the destination of many of the Vlachs from southern Danube and even the pass of the shepherds who during summer went all over the Balkans, herding and in winter retreated back in the mountains but indeed these are the places together with Olt, Prahova, Hateg, Fagaras, Amlas, Lapus, Maramures, Onut and Strasinet who will maintain having a powerful Vlach continuity throughout ages while the rest of the plains and mountains will be roamed by other nations and from where they started expanding during Basarab. Even so they had Slavic influences from before the Second Bulgarian Tsardom emerged as the fortress of Cherven means "Red" in Slavic while Zimnicea describes a Slavic deity of the weather. Also Craiova was named from Crai Iovan or Ionita Caloian, Johannitsa or Ioanitsa Kaloyan 1197-1207, the Byzantine Slayer. Valcea, it's northern part at least, Tara Lovistei, Prahova with Campulung, Arges with Slatina and Curtea de Arges and Dambovita with Targoviste are the archaic land of Miseslav and Seneslav, later taken over by Radu and Thocomerius another enclave of old Vlach and Slav populations. Regarding Vidin even now the Vlach members of the Kenazate live in Timokca Krajina of Serbia meaning roughly the "Timoc Valley Border Area" also known as Triballia between Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia and another border area is Vojvodina near Timisoara, medieval Swabian County of Temeswar, Free City of Arad and the fortress of Varadinum, Oradea a multiethnic enclave and a stronghold against nomad invasions situated in the mighty Khazar heartland and last defence of the stubborn Count of the Khazars who pledged allegiance to Constantinople and remained loyal even when heavily outnumbered, keeping their honor. Timoc was also an important region of old Vlach population alongside the other ones mentioned above from where many fled in Epirus and Macedon but some remained and united with the Slavs of either Vidin or Serbia while the ones of Vojvodina remained in the shadow of the Hungarian held Belgrade. These Aromanians were in fact travellers because of their trade. Indeed some made a permanent home in northern Greece but most, untill modern times simply travelled freely alongside the Morlachs of Croatia, Dalmatia and Ragusa and other Vlachs of Slovakian Tatra Mountains and southern Poland, Silesia, a region known as Moravian Wallachia. Much later they settled and gathered at Moscopole in northern Epirus, Albania and tried making a country called Principality of Wallachian Thessaly or Great Vlachia centered around Lamia then known as Zetouni. Even if some historians also claim that Enisala or Silistra, Durostorum were Vlach enclaves in fact they were the war ground for Byzantines, Bulgarians and later Karvuna or Dobrudja settled Cumans and Pechenegs that decided to adopt the city lifestyle. Kilia on the other hand was a Vlach avanpost and Genoese colony. Bender and Bilgorod were Emporions and colonies alongside Ochakov but not places of the old Vlachs as they were destroyed by the Avars, Antes and Bulgars alongside many more other vast cities and ports of Dobrudja that still preserved the Roman law and lifestyle even if Rome was in ashes and Byzantium was struggling for survival. The areas of Epirus and Macedon especially were inhabited also by a Latin population that was present there since the Romans punished queen Teuta of the Illyrian pirates and conquered the lands of Pyrrhus of Epirus. These are the Saracateni, Saracacieni or Saracaceani that dwell to this day in improvised cottages and in medieval times mixed with the rebel and fugitive Almogavars. Still there was a centre of civilised Latin remnants of the legionaries, Roman first borns and the Socii settled in Ioannina, a centre of culture. Here people have haplogroups just like the original Romans. Others are the Vlachs of Bithynia. Original Latin colonists of Greece might be as well those around Gramos, Pindus and Olympus Mountains where the Vlachs of the Second Bulgarian Tsardom also retreated after being declared unwanted no longer in the detriment of the Slavic majority even if it was the elite. In other words they wore forced into exile. Because sources state that de Roman descendents of Bulgaria dwelled in the mountains around Tarnovo, including Kaloyan as described by the Pope and the Archbishop, most likely the mountainous fortress of Cherven with it's impressive towers, also future mitropoly and religious centre were the place of origin, indeed sourh of the Danube but tied to Craiova and Zimnicea north of the Danube and of course Cumania, his father-in-law, all sources indicating Baragan and Dobrudja. In the second half of the 13th century most likely many chose to join Lytuoy and later Basarab from where together with the Pechenegs and Saxons formed a new people, the Wallachians led by a Cuman elite but on the base of the older Vlach, Slav and Cuman substratum.

A mistake many people make is to think that the darker complexity of these people is due to the Cumans but that is wrong, the Asian features are thanks to them. The dark complexion of the skin is a heritage from Legio V Macedonica of Socii and Legio XIII Gemina of death condemned Campanians, Lucanians and Samnites Legionary Cohort with Syrian infantry Auxilia and Sarmatian cavalry.

The Burciu Clan and it's splinters, the Bazaraads will thus rule over Vrancea, Bacau, Buzau, Barlad of the Bordinians or Brodniks and Berladniks, their old homeland of Budjek especially in Cahul and Izmail, Dobrudja and Baragan namely Tulcea, Braila, Galati, Ialomita, Calarasi and Giurgiu, they will move towards Fagaras, Rasnov, Hateg, Hunedoara, Dolj, Olt, Gorj, Arges and Teleorman too while also benefiting later on from the rich Saxon colony of Campo Longo 1290 led by Laurencius, part of the former Transalpina 1241-1242 of the defunct Mislav and the weak Seneslav ruling over Vlachs and Slavs. See: Burciu, Borcea, Bertzi (Bortz-Membrok and his son and heir Burch), Coman, Comaneci, Comarnic, Comana,
Comrat (Cumans), Cozia (Khazars), Copceac (Kypchaks), Tatarbunari (Terterobans), Basarabeni, Basarabeanca, Basarabasa (Bazaraads), Peceneaga, Pecineaga,
Neagu, Neagoe, Goe (Pechenegs), Caracal (Kankali, Qanqli, Kangly, Kara Kitai, Kara Kitan), Horezu (Kwarezmians), Ozun (Oghuz), Gagauz (Gok-Oghuz) etc.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

I would go with N. Iorga and N. Djuvara and propose this line for the Ordo Praedicatorum Dominicani Episcopatus Milkoviensis de Moldaviae Oppida Mulda 1227 in Cumania and Terra Bordini subordinated to the Saxon Episcopate of Civitas Moldaviae or Moldaviensis/ Stadt Molde 1209 from Black Cumania adjacent to White Cumania but superiour to the Teutonic Bishopric of Fogaras 1192-1211-1225, Burzenland and Silva Blachorum et Bissenorum 1222-1224 and the line of Bortz-Membrok 1227, Burch 1227, Bezeren 1241, Lytuoy 1247-1279, Barbath 1279, Laurencius 1290, Radu 1290, Thocomerius 1307, Basarab 1315.

Local moderators, sorry if this is considered as off-topic but the guys behind Achemenids: Total War just posted a video showing their campaign map position changes. It's very bad quality, but the link is here: http://www.moddb.com/mods/rise-of-gl...ities-position.

Ok, indeed it wouldn't help any other modder because they don't explain how they did it, but at least it might prove that moving cities/province borders is possible in Attila and Rome II (they said they did the mod first on Attila, before switching to Rome II because Attila's movie arent moddable - they said the same thing can be done with Rome II).

My understanding is that what they did was edit the .exe file, which violates the EULA, which is illegal. That means the mod could never be produced without it being shut down by CA.

    @Ltd.

Regarding that you said you will add Moldavia. I really hope every single unit will have the bow as a primary weapon. As it was the case. Imagine: halberdiers, spearmen, greatswordsmen, greataxemen, greatmacemen using the bow first before charging. A great mix of shock troops with the sole protection of missile cavalry and specialised hunters. Halberdiers guarding the king and the portar with only hussars on the wings. That would be trully unique. Nobles too being able to dismount and grab great axes like in Baia and also bowmen being able to mount like in the ambush against the Teutones when they used camouflage according to Jan Dlugosz.

I´ll have to correct you on Moldavia: I did mention to you that due to RL I have fairly limited amount of time and the faction I am working on currently, Croatia, is already moving at a relatively slow pace. Anything that comes after that is really very much down the road and my involvement in that is rather questionable as well. What I did say though is that once we are done with starting and playable factions, then people can start working and worrying about other factions, so if anyone is interested in adding Moldavia is emergent, can have a go at it.

Now to your actual proposal: adding bow to halberd units is unfortunate as units would look inappropriate carrying a large polearm on their back when using their bows. Same thing for greatswordsmen, greataxemen, greatmacemen. Archery can be stressed through other means since archery and missile warfare in general was predominant for romanian factions

Thank you. I'll keep that in mind. Thank you for your advice. I did ask Artstudio to help me out in his mod 1220. I will keep in touch with him. Sorry for the confusion created. All respect. Hope to hearing from you soon.

Give em time.... If you want a complete and refined mod with no bugs/crashes you have to wait. They aint releasing a half-done mod, it doesnt feel right.

But when it does eventually come out it will have been worth the time

Love the way you put this

I'd rather wait longer to have a good mod, instead of one I could play now and irritate the shizz out of me with bugs en unaccurate stuff.

No idea about the animator sadly I'm not a modder myself. Regarding the new campaign map modding you discovered, I think it's perhaps the great breakthrough in Attila/Rome II modding, it allows many mods to see the light and be more accurate, so I really think everyone has to share informations and help each other.
