Default The would be gameplay mechs for next TW.

Instead of discussing what next TW would be,there is a bigger question what new components it would have.I mean how revolutionary or evolutionary would it differ from RTW,MTW2. No doubt RTW was a revolution after Shogun and MTW,but is there something new which could be innovated to refresh the turn-based strategy genre for next installment in TW series make it more challenging, realistic, intruguing, facinating and new? I have an idea-it's known from ancient time that battles are not what decide the outcome of the war it's maneuvres your goal is to have nesessary amount of troups in certain place and in certain time and not let to do this to your enemy. But obviously turn-based strategy is somewhat restricted in matter of maneuvring it's hugely abstract in it...for realistic maneuvrig requires simultaneous movement of armies on campaign maps.(No I don't speak about the games like 'Lords of Realm 3).What my idea was about it's have turn restricted not only to game-time,but also in real-time like this:A turn for example is an year,on campaign map your and AI's armies move according their paths while able to change routs at any given moment;but turn also has limitation in real-time 2-3 minutes( if there is a battle the campaign map pauses). Then when turn is over you are getting access to your diplomacy, recruiting, building and such you naturally unlimited in it in single-player's campaign. When you are ready you click turn-button and game continius with next turn.

i massive improvement would be being able to choose where you can build your cities + place the buildings, unfortunately thatd be too complicated, to heavy on the computer, and probably wouldnt generate enough money for the CA.

Where i can build my Cities? huh?
Hmmm. lets place Paris here *points at Cyprus*
    Civilization style eh?
But i can agree on that building placement
like some limited space in cities and when you want to build more you have to extend the walls or something like this.
You ask for steak, I bring you fish. You say that you think steak is better than fish. I say that fish is much more popular than steak so obviously it's better. You say that no matter how good the fish is it can't be better at being steak than the actual steak we used to serve. I say that's just your perception and you're entitled to it but you should accept that fish is the future and that's good. You begin to say something but I stab you in the eye with a fork and run into the kitchen.

Perhaps a slowed down RTS type Campaign mode, somewhat like HoI just, the game pauses when there is a battle. If they could do this, and have some smaller mini-campaigns i could see a multiplayer version of this, with perhaps options of auto-resolve gameplay and, if they wish to enable it, have the entire thing pause, play/watch the battle and continue on.
They Might also change a few aspect of the game, perhaps having more support items in a battle, perhaps along w/ your army you can bring along other "necessities" such as medical tents, supply wagons, and other fun features, have a few of the items like, supply wagons (aka mass arrow storage) on the battlemap so if archers run low on ammo, have them refill?
Im thinking they might add Naval Battles (thats a hope im not holding dearly)
Hopefully! they can add some more bonuses to the campaign map such as faster travel along rivers to represent ferries down the river? i dont know.

Note: Being able to place your own cities IMO would ruin the strategic feel for me, imagine, players just lining up cities along the coast. And how would they determine the borders of the cities? or would that be done away with, which would add to a little problem, determining the farm/land value of a place.

I remember in some pre-RTW hype, the devs said you'd be able to view the campaign map as the whole of europe, and then use the mousewheel to zoom right in, close enough to see individual people.

Obviously it never happened. It was either the dev's hyping the game up, or more likely, a PR person not understanding what the devs had told him to say.... but it'd be a cool feature for total war 16

I disagree about RTW having revolutionary changes. The only thing really revolutionary is the graphical overhaul the series had. Shogun has been the only really revolutionary game of the series so far.
