When the new patch comes out for MED 2 TW, will i have to start my campaign again for the updates to take effect??

Well, as the patch is not done yet, pick your favorite answer:

1) It will work with existing savegames, no problem.
2) it will not work with existing savegames, you'll have to start over.

Seriously, there is no way to tell before it's out, or the devs say something about it.

with the changes being made to existing units and diplomacy i assume you might have to restart. no idea really as the changes might take place without needing a restart
