making counter change to years

hi guys,

i tried the modification of the descr_strat file to change turns to years in the counter..yes i deleted the "show date as turns" but when i loaded a saved game it still shows the turns. this could have been discussed already just cant find the right thread.

do i have to start a new game after i delete the entry (above)? i even tried show date as years (with the underscores of course) still no go

please advise,

Yes. Any edits to the descr_strat take affect only in new campain, and won't affect olds ones.

Yep. It will only show up in new campaigns.
