Re: Tulkas' FATW Let's Play!
Baruk Khazâd! Behold, at long last, the ending of Tulkasthevaliant's Dwarven Kingdom LP! Will Tulkas prevail before the onslaught, or will another faction snatch the victory from under his very nose? Ya gotta watch to find out! Oooooh suspense! Why is this in a weird font? Ooooooooooooooh spoooooooky
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_ZanCQNxIc
Also, like last time, I bequeath unto my devoted Tulkanauts the opportunity to choose which faction I'll play next! Huzzah for democracy! Even if it's FPTP which kinda sucks... http://www.strawpoll.me/11211057
Finally, I thought it might amuse the devs to know that I happened to overhear some people discussing FATW in class last week, specifically the difficulties of growing the population of the elves. It took me rather by surprise- who would think that the super obscure FATW mod would randomly be referenced at Beloit college, of all places? So yeah, it was weird. I wanted to look at them askance and proclaim "DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM????" but then I remembered that I'm not actually anyone important so I didn't. And that is the story of me. But yeah, apparently FATW is famous. So that's neat.

Re: Tulkas' FATW Let's Play!
Rejoice! The people have spoken, declaring their adulation for Adunabar, and so Tulkas must obey. Behold then the first episode in the new series, wherein I strive to carry the banner of the white star and the black tree across all of Middle-Earth. Woot!
The first episode: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yePBUyRmfA4
The playlist of this series, just for Wambat: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...HOVGw90ds4_4tr
Also, today in class we were supposed to create an exhibit pertaining to something we did last weekend, and so I brought in the Silmarillion and left the Northmen very confused. Turns out that trying to explain the rise of Herumor the Lord Black in less than 30 words is a task that is far beyond me. Alas.

Rejoice! So, I thought I might mooch off of Saul Tyre's popularity and remind ya'll that ol' Tulky is still merrily churning out videos! After an explosive start where the white star and the black tree swiftly overwhelmed the false heirs of Elendil, the people of Herumor have suffered some severe setbacks, as five powers relentlessly pummel our borders. The ever benevolent Wambat has been gracious enough to give me some pearls of wisdom, and I've had a few ideas myself, but perhaps some other clever chaps could figure out how I can escape this predicament? Huzzah!

Re: Tulkas' FATW Let's Play!
I am not sure I can avoid the suggestion: get gud.
A lot of the problems in your campaign are a result of your field battles. RTW is very much a rock-paper-scissors game, and FATW unavoidably inherits some of that. If all you bring to the battlefield is rocks, you are going to have trouble if the enemy is not composed solely of scissors. All I can say is, those Berserkers are the best rocks available to you since you cannot play with Trolls; it could be argued that they are better than Trolls for the money; so try the best you can to get to where you can start pumping them out.

Re: Tulkas' FATW Let's Play!
Well it's not my fault that the mod is balanced around your skill level and not mine.
But yeah, I guess the berserkers are op. Why is berserker underlined as being a misspelling? No idea. But hey, you loved the ending of my RK series! So at least there's that. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah Tulkasad

Re: Tulkas' FATW Let's Play!
Do not despair. You have a northern kingdom to fall back on, and you are not finished in the south yet. Also, Tharbad is paper thin, and behind them is your ally Dunland, You might do better in the north if you play more offensively there.

Hang in there Tulkas, the most entertaining stories are the ones where victory is snatched from the jaws of defeat!

Would you mind post your save of the last turn in your Adunabar campaign? I am curious to see if I might be able to turn it around.
