Re: FATW on Mac
Copying this from a reddit post I made on the topic.
The mac version of Rome:Total War doesn't want to be modded, probably because of some apple app store nonsense, but you can work around this. To fix the "cannot save to disk" issue, you have to move the application and put it inside its own system folder.
We are going to place the Rome App inside its own system folder. Don't ask me why this work, it just does. You need to go to the hidden library in the computer. If you don't know what the hidden library is, its where a bunch of system files are kept so you need to tell the computer specifically to take you there, you can't get to it through standard finder navigation. So, go to the "Go" menu at the top of the screen, scroll to "go to folder", and punch in "~/library". From here go through containers/com.feralinteractive.rome/Data/Library/Application Support/Feral Interactive/Rome Total War. This will take you to a file with a bunch of stuff like preferences, logs, downloads, custom etc etc. What you are going to do is take your "Rome Total War Gold Edition" App from your application folder, and move it into this folder. Then, so you don't have to do all these stupid steps to get the game when you want to play it, make an alias for it and put it on the dock or your desktop or whatever. Once its moved you can delete the copy in your application to free up some space since you don't need it there anymore.
