2 turns per year vs characters age?

Does anyone know that if you play as two turns per year (0.05) do you family members and characters age correctly or do they age 1 year per turn?

Characters always get a year older when the winter season occurs on the campaign map, so no matter what you set the timescale to they will age at the rate of 1 year every two turns.
