Artifacts

Are artifacts a real impact in the game? And if so what are a few? Because the only artifact I found was har from mohammeds beard. Is that all or are there a lot more?

I've seen my assassins and spies pick up loads of items (false papers, extra sharp knife, spy glass etc) but so far no religious artifacts. In RTW/BI they didnt have any serious effect beyond a small stat boost though.

So far the only one i have found is hair from mohammeds beard and that gave my faction leader only 1 piety.

I found a muslim artifact... a lock box that gave +1 piety

Mohammeds hair came in a lock box and inside the lock box a crystal silver flask thing, thats the only artifact I have found. But are there others? Besides these.

I’ve seen the Holy Grail and something much like the Shroud of Turin or Image of Edessa, though the exact name used escapes me. I’m going to assume there is probably a Spear of Longinus somewhere in there too. It would appear they simply give the character some bonuses. Interesting to run into them, though.

Found the Holy Lance, Piece of the Cross and Holy Grail. ;p

The funny is, that my King Arthur the Crusader, never got the grail. Only his son, King David the Mad! He went mad after executing like 10 Egyptian cities.

There are artifacts? What are they, just laying around world map and they give stat boosts?

No, Euik, you get them as Retinue for accomplishing certain things. Usually from Crusading.

After caturing J'town on a crusade my faction leader was given the

I have passed this on to other faction members and hope to keep it in 'the family' throughout the campaign.

I guess I need to actually join the crusade next time. I usually just piss off the pope and get excommunicated or he gets mad because I am too busy with other things. I want to get one of these artifacts now though.

I wonder if there is a full atrifact list anywhere, like in the strategy guide. If anyone who has it can look that would be great.

How do you do that? I thought retinue and items were nontransferable...

The little pictures are transferrable to other family members. However, the little 'Confident Commander' stats or whatever are not.

The best...errr most unique artifact is the Holy Prepuce...

There are 3-4 Muslim artifacts I've heard of/gotten, and about the same for Christians... they all come from Crusades/Jihads I believe.
