Hi, great work with the faction man!! I specially like the new varangian guard, my only doubt about them is, weren't they supposed to have shields?
Any time soon for the new Varangopouloi abd the other late "Western" units!?
No... no money to buy a proper laptop and attila with all the dlc's... yet... so was hoping 4 previews
The later eras units are previewed and discussed on this thread, a little down the list of threads:
"Medieval Kingdoms Total War: "Byzantine Empire" HIGH and LATE ERA units"
The name says it all, really...
Ahm... thx guys
@Ltd.
That preview we discussed about when I gave you all that info... any time soon!?
For the moment I am somewhat on hold and the romans are now more or less campaign ready anyway so no previews planned in the near future.
Here is the preview for the 2nd and 3rd tiers which are already playable: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...LATE-ERA-units
I see... so the update will be postponed for the first release revamp.... mktw 1.1 I pressume or 1.5 and so on... also wantrd to ask will Epirus have acces to Sicilian units in comparison to Trebizond who should have acces to Georgian ones!? Nicaea let's say Steppe recruits!? As to differentiate them a bit or still in the future DLC's!?
I usually show in my previews faction specific units only, but when it comes to the custom battle and for the campaign every faction will have access to a lot more regional troops or other AOR faction specific troops.
Also, I don't actually plan on revamping any of the roman rosters, though some further unit additions are always possible along the way in the form of patches or unit updates.
Hello Byzantines fans!!
I'm so impatient to start a campaign with the empire of Nicea that i had to keep me busy...
And i found a solution. Here it is:
It is made of 5 wooden planks, each one with an angle of 5°, to make the shape.
As you will see it is not finished yet.
I have to make something around it, finish the paint and add what is needed to cary it.
Next time i'll make a chain mail and maybe i'll managed to make a full real byzantine constume.
Anyway, thank you with this roster. It gaves me the taste to make this!

Shield looks nice. You made a good job so far. Glad you are actually doing something tangible instead of only this virtual stuff![]()
Also, good luck with your future plans. Chainmail is one hell of a lot of work, but once finished you will be very proud of yourself. When I was younger I did make a chainmail with butted and solid links and it worked surprisingly well against knife stabs. Imagine that with riveted and solid links....
Yeah, there will be militia for tier 2 and 3
