The Bulgarian Patriarch and church were fully independent. The Patriarch has the same status like the Pope. Kievan Rus has get the Orthodoxy from Bulgaria and the most of the orthodox Slavic nations. You could add some orthodox units. Check Saint Tervel of Bulgaria.
The Bulgarians have use lassos against the Latin knights. I don't know many about the Bulgarian medieval units, but I know many about the medieval Bulgarian culture, city's and battles (there were many glorious battles in the Bulgarian history). That means that the Bulgarian empire was pretty powerful.
The medieval Bulgarian city's were almost entirely made from stone. They have an canalization, the pasts have hot water heating, baths and tone roads (canalization in Europe exists sins 17th century). The walls of Tarnovo have hold at least 4 months turk siege. The third and fourt university's where 885 in Great Preslav and 886 in Ohrid. During the Second Bulgarian empire where two university's in Tarnovo: Tarnovo literary school and Tarnovo art school.
Dude seriously, at this point you only spaming this tread. If you have specific information in drawings or other materials to help developers to create more authentic units and roster. To the other information I have access too... and not belong here in this tread. Please have a mercy to developers we have to read everything![]()

http://http://terrazagora.blogspot.b...8/xiv.html?m=1In this link you could find interesting information about the medieval Bulgarian armor. It is on Bulgarian but you probably wont have problems with that.
Little mistake just dilate the second http://
You should add an late Tcar and some heroes like Despot of Prilep, Despot of Dobrouja, Despot of Plovdiv, of Ohrid, of Vidin and more.

Thanks Finix for summing them all up
Yeah, I will revisit the bulgarians as well. They were one of the first factions I created a roster for, but I think my skills improved a bit since then so I should be able to create a better roster for them.
I was basically doing a roster that contained elements from earlier periods as well.
One tricky thing is that basically everyone around the "romans" was inspired by them, so the three roman factions, the georgians, the armenians of cilicia, the serbians, the bulgarians, all should look quite similar. However it is not always easy to create a roster for them that would set them all apart and still make them similar to some extent.
Also, finix, according to your classification the bulgarian tier 3 looks basically the way other WE factions' roster looks for the 2nd tier, so practically transitional armor. Tier 3 for other factions was partial to full gothic plate ( see poland, hungary, burgundy, etc) . Do we know how the bulgarian army might have looked like in the 1430-1440 and onward ?
That requires mighty "What if" scenarios.
It would require Bulgaria to defeat the Ottomans and stay independent to that point.
In which case, full suits would most likely be reserved only for the rich members of society and their existence in Bulgaria would most probably depend on the influence Hungary would have in the Balkans considering this scenario requires the Ottomans to be kicked back.
However, late plate sections of armor would most likely spread into Bulgaria, since breastplates(and other plated armor parts) were individually cheaper than mail and lamellar.
That is great , it will be cool to add late heavy Bulgarian Axemen with Wardogs and some heavy unique Bulgarian units like those of 2Shy: Especially heavy swordsman with dose large shields. The Bulgarian Patriarch should be an hero and he should have some units of Bulgarian Orthodox Knights wit some orthodox cross or even orthodox icons on their shields and add shotgunners. The Tcar should be replaced with Bulgarian Emperor and Second Bulgarian Tsardom with Second Bulgarian Empire. In YouTube during some you tubers plays with Bulgaria, I notice that they don't understand what Tcar or Tsardom means, they can't even pronounce them and the background of the Bulgarian emblem should be red not brown.
That actually isn't true the battle for Vidin was in 1422. And moust importantly the battle for Varna was in 1444 and except the crusaders the most of the army was from Bulgarians lead bey the Bulgarian prince Fruzhin. The mighty Bulgarian fortress of Kaliakra fights against the ottomans until 1455. It was also the stronghold of the imperial Bulgarian fleet until the same year. The end of this mighty fortress probably came with the fall of Konstantinople, and the closing of the trade rads in the Black Sea bey the ottomans. There we have large Bulgarian forces until the middle of the 15th century. For the late Bulgarian armor you should check Fruzhin and Dobrotiza.
