Default Another DEI and modding question for Dresden

I am playing as Carthage and having a lot of fun. My main problem seems to be public order where I have total control of the Senate and a faction negative trait of -20 because of this. How is this controlled? Also where are these political numbers modded in the pack file? Thanks!

    aPolitics_effect_bundle_to_effect_junctions is the table.

The idea with 3 party factions is that you want to keep influence balanced among the parties. You can see the politics guide here http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...1#post14215923

Thank you I checked out the guide but I do not see anything that tells you how to keep the party balanced? -20 and there are rebellions every turn. Whack a mole I am using the hardcore mod that may be the problem!

Also while I am asking where is the public order penalty for raiding, slaves, and cultural differences located?

Try looking in the campaign variables. I think there is something about the public order impact when raiding a province. Not sure though

The raiding stance effects are in the Stance_effect_bundles_to_effect_junctions table and the base effect_bundles_to_effect_junctions tables.

Keeping your Politics balanced is key. When in game, go to the Politics tab and you will see your control of the senate vs the other factions. In that image there are several small circles (~10 iirc) that also represent your control of the senate. Having 1/10 shaded in green = very low political influence, 10/10 shaded in green = total political domination. Hovering your mouse over each of these circles will display a text box indicating the positives and negatives for each level of control.

For Carthage and Rome (the only factions with >2 political factions) you will find that the balance is somewhere in the middle. Once you get to 6/10 and higher the positive bonuses i.e. +PO, +research, turn to negatives. Keep your control around 4/10 or 5/10 and you should get +8 or +5 public order, respectively.

For those that are good with politics, how do you gain control of the senate? I am playing as the Selucids and my control of the senate dropped to 49%. Is their any action that I can take to "seize" control? Every action lowers support but the information doesn't doesn't say "will help your faction in the long run" or something. I have been allowing adoptions and it's back to 54%. I haven't had a civil war in a long time as I usually try to balance my generals between factions. Thanks for the opinions.

Add traits to members of your political faction that that give +gravitas per turn or assassinate members of the other factions.
