Some players are experiencing AI turn crashes that are not repeatable. It is currently very hard for us to track this down because we can't test the save (since it doesn't happen on reload). Also, most of us on the dev team either don't have them or have them very rarely.
The players who have reported them seem to get them every 3-5 turns, which I understand is not acceptable. On Steam, the various reports have stated that one night they will get the crashes and then the next day they play for 100 turns without a crash. However, other players have reported getting them regularly each play through.
It is very hard for us to track down the cause of the crashes and is very frustrating for both the players experiencing it and for us as modders. Its either something very specific and odd in the mod that happens rarely or only for some, or its due to differences in PC config/setup/install/etc.
If your crash is repeatable, then definitely post the save and we will work on it. Otherwise, we are nearing our wits end about locating the cause of crashes for certain players.

If you are using mod "Rome: Total War Music" stop using.
this mod + divide et impera does my game have that same crash since the update of 11dfixpack December 9

Yup. Same here.
It can happen next turn or 20 turns later - very random, indeed.
Edit: Definitely not repeatable, either, as once I load the game up and do the same end turn again it won't happen until another random turn several or more turns later.

I get them very rarely, but I will follow those instructions as soon as I get one.
Dresden have you considered a memory leak as the reason?
Anything is possible at this point. It could be a simple db entry, a strange script thing, or just something inherent in certain setups.
The thing about testing for them is that you would need to be using the debug pack before it happens. And, since they are not repeatable, this makes tracking them down annoying.

I am far from an IT expert but the few crashes I had were after many, many turns of continuous play. I remember an issue with another mod with a script running and never closing itself until there are so many instances that the RAM is overrun. This would explain why the crash does not happen again after you relaunch the game.
Just out of curiosity I would ask whoever posts their log how many turns of continuous play did they play before the crash and what is their RAM. If we see a correlation than my hypothesis might be worth something
I have the crashes as wel, what works for me for delaying them for a while is, after a crash, load the autosave, save, load the save and then press next turn.
It kicks the fun out of the game, I sadly had to stop playing this because it was becoming frustrating. Itīs such a shame because the mod its absolutely awesome![]()
I play Parthia and crash on end turn when it gets to Knosses when I get these crashes. 3 times and all 3 times Knosses. I get it randomly, first time it happened was 5 turns, next day it happend 50 turns, next day it happened 25 turns but all had Knosses in common.
And you are certain that these crashes are not just happening due to you having some kind of submod conflicting? Faulty install etc etc?
this is definitely related to new version of dei, I never had crashes with 1.05 whatsoever(200+ turns), and now it happens quite frequently. Also having some IT background I do understand how difficult it may be to track it. I just had one on clicking on army, and previously during end of battle. never saw the debug enable instructions - so will try to upload logs/dumps next time.
