    4: look at the picture I linked in my post. I would like only red background and white double cross visible even from a distance.

    I think I missed something. What is the banner with a '?' on your pic ? Is it a late banner or a family members' banner?

    The banner under first green x can be ok, too. Depends on the ideas you have. I found only the second x with white background ... funny.

    4- i can redraw this biu it isnt a priority right now

    ?- this is a generals falg - ill need some inspiration for this. ill contact you before drawing anything.

    I have an idea to the general flag but I want thinking some.

    That vanilla xp flag is not bad compared to the rest.

    Dividing the shield such a way is a late custom.

    I think the big banner should be simply a nice white double cross with red background. The red should not be bright. That's all.

    I was thinking about the green base. It appeared first only at the end of the 13th century after 200 years from the start of the game. Thus it would be early.

    I cannot reach Hunor but it cannot be a problem if you credit him - he made the skins.
    If you use Hungary as it appears in our mod credit me, too, please.
    You can credit the mod instead of people if you want so.

    To what mod do you want to use this stuff?

    Csatadi, in another thread you said that you had Hunor's skins sitting on your desktop, but some of them were too bright so you excluded them. Is there any way you could post a link containing the entire skin-set? I really like the pics I have seen in this thread and it will solve my orange/red mix problem.

    It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Yes, I have and could send them but I must search the appropriate skins on my comp. They were too colorful that was my problem.

    Great work Matko!

    And the conversion patch is ready, too.

    2nd patch upgrade changes:
    -New Hungarian banners made by Matko.
    -Genus names are more historical.
    -Another gold mine in the province Hungarian Lowlands. Did you know in the middle-ages 75% of gold in Europe was mined in Hungary?
    -Gunpowder comes in between 1290 and 1300 like in the new vanilla version.
    -Cost of the siege engines reduced back to normal.
    -Base farming levels are reduced even more to the new vanilla level.
    -Elements of Ultimate AI and Darthmod are erased. Diplomacy and battle AI is standard vanilla.
    -Some elements of the conversion will appear only in a new game.

    Installation:
    1. Copy the zip file into the folder of the game where the medieval2.exe file is found.
    2. Unzip and overwrite everything.
    3. Run MMpatch2upgrade.bat file.
    ... and play the game.

    Edit: link changed, venetian bug fixed. If downloaded earlier do it again, unzip but you don't need to run the .bat file again if you did earlier.

    Outstanding, can't say thank you enough. Great work Csatadi, Matko, and to all involved.

    Csatadi, any chance of getting the rest of Hunor's skins? Sorry for being a pain in the a$$, I just really want to try them out.

    Csatadi, a couple things I noticed when trying/playing your mod.

    1. I could only make it work by editing the CFG file made by the Mmcfg_maker file. I had to change it from read only and delete the first [io] file_first = true line, as it is in the file twice. Without doing that I had a fatal error before the game would launch.

    2. Did you address the Venetian Heavy Infantry issue in the battle_models file? Basically when CA "fixed" the VHI armor upgrade bug they changed some text in the battle_models file that causes battles involving VHI to crash when adding the [io] file_first = true line. When trying your mod the game crashes whenever I was fighting VHI.

    Thanks for the report I will solve it.

    The issue with filefirst is unavoidable if you have seen the batch file it uses your own settings with filefirst making the new mod cfg file. I will put in a warning however.

    No historical sources to Székely axemen, apart from the traditional role of the Székelys in the military and the usually associated weapons being warhammers and axes. Granted there's very little sources available on medieval hungarian armies, but it did sound better than croat axemen..

    The unit balancin sheets you should be able to use with the vanilla, just delete the new units from DLV at the end and the references to flanders are kiev from unit ownership.

    Alternatively, you can just download DLV 3.0 and the official patch 1.2 since it creates a seperate directory anyway.

    What I had in mind also the replace the Slav levies or what for the usual western euro Sergeant spearmen, perhaps rename them to servienti castri (anyway, it's very much the same social function as a sergeant as I understand, even the etimology is similiar) and trying to introduce some 'eastern european' arquebusier similiar to cossack musketeers since Renesaince puffy clothes look rather odd for Poland, Hungary and Russia.

    Yes, it is 1.2 compatible. Just make sure to download all of the files, including the one a few posts back which is the updated English patch. Also, make sure to follow the instructions carefully.
