Default GEM crashing when "By-pass UI" is enabled

This technically is not a DeI bug, but I know that many of you guys use GEM alongside DeI, so:

Since about two weeks, after installing a windows update (Win 10) the game crashes when entering the main menu if "By-pass UI" is enabled in the GEM settings. The official GEM forum section is far less populated than this one, over there no one has found a real solution yet, so I wanted to ask whether any one of you found a workaround or something similar?

It seems to work if "By-pass UI" is turned off, however, this causes GEM to apply blur and other effects to the Unit-icons and all texts which is quite disturbing ^^

Using compatibility or 64bit-application mode in GEM settings only lead to GEM not launching at all (Rome 2 didn't crash in this scenario, though)

Yeah, I haven't been able to get GEM working on Windows 10 either. But I guess some people have, so I assume it's some mistake I made when installing it, or maybe I'm missing one of the .NET framework updates, or some other thing.

It worked for me for weeks until said update was carried out (atleast that's what I consider to be the reason). Thank you for responding!
