The dreaded and mighty fortress of Storm's End was a sight to behold for the visiting Yoren Peake. After a period of time left before the gates of the main keep, the visiting Ser would be permitted to the enter the ancient halls of House Durrandon and be brought before the Storm King. The present occupant of the throne was an aged male, possibly pushing his fifties or sixties. He was a hardy man, just like any Stormlander, with a thick grey beard and a balding head. The Storm King remains silent, looking down at the Reachman. Not long ago did the Stormlands invade the Reach during the reign of Garth Greybeard and succeeded in their battles. So for a Reachman to visit his court, the Storm King wondered if he crawled his way to Storm's End, fearful of their martial prowess.

A herald glances at the Storm King and clears his throat, indicating that Yoren Peake should speak first.

((OOC: Sorry, Lucius. Poach and I agreed we'd put it on hold until Ponti and I were done))

Yoren bowed to the figure on the throne. Durrandon, an ancient and mighty house. "Your Grace, I am here on behalf of House Peake, to officially ask for your aid in our war."

He clears, his throat. A bead of sweat ran down the side of his face, he knew what his father had told him at the beginning. This was the only way if things should go amiss. "For 30'000 troops, to place my family in control of the Reach, we will bend the knee to you, and name you our Overlord. You will rule the Stormlands and Us, as well as the Reach by extension. What might have once taken all of your armies can be achieved for 30'000 men. In addition, in the spirit of goodwill, we would be willing to send Asha Peake, here as a hostage."

    Roll:
    10/20 base.
+3 for act of submission (appealing to the Storm King)
-5 for previous attempt (It gets harder to perform a similar action such as homage, Skylord)
-5 Risk (If the Reachlord fails, the Storm King loses 30,000 troops and gains nothing from it)
    Need 18-20. Rolled 10.

The Storm King's eyebrows furrow deeply, causing even the herald to back away from the throne. The Durrandon raises his finger and points at the Reachman.

You offer me homage in exchange for a large sum of soldiers! You speak high, Ser, and demand high. Yet the risk for my Kingdom is high. So many troops would deprive my lands of defenses to both the North and South, against the Riverlands, the Westerlands and the various Kings of Dorne. I have no reassurance of your promise, Reachman.

The hardy King gestures to the sword that was set beside his throne, the same sword that once cut through rank upon rank of Reachman during the reign of the Greybeard.

I could easily invade your territories on my own, Reachman, and force your entire house to bend the knee as your castle burns before you. I could take your women and force them to be wives to the victors. I could raze your lands, pillage your coffers and set fire from the Mander all the way to Blackwater Bay! I could do everything you offer with my own bare hands and see your house cower before my might!
