Yes we all miss titles and yeah the portraits are a bit staid in this iteration of the game. Hopefully they can be modded up to snuff.

Actually, I wasn't sarcastic at all. I don't expect the developers to touch this part of the game any further. I have some plans to do so... but have no idea if it will be possible given that can't unPAK anything.

I do miss the ability to dole out lordships/titles to your generals, but this wassnt in rome, so I didnt really expect it to come back for M2TW.

I don't miss the old portraits one bit. I suppose it's a matter of taste. But I do feel sorry about the titles. And what I regret most is the fact that they omitted the feature of killing your own generals/king/family members/other figurines

I also can't understand why did they remove the "set faction heir" feature. After all, there so many examples of monarchs appointing as their heirs someone else than their first born sons!!! On the other hand though, this opens up room for many intrigues, like sending an iniberated first-born son on a crusade from which he won't return, hehe

Oh I almost forgot -- I love the way the figurines' names are shown more often. When you start knowing your emissaries by their names, it gives a much cooler feel. Take note how the coolest touches don't require any specific hardware.

Silly question, but how could you kill your own family members in MTW? I don't remember being able to do that other than with assassins or Inquisitors, and I played it for ages..

Thanks, that's a great idea, especially since I'm playing Poland and if the Baltic wasn't filled with enough pirates, I'm in a war with the Danes which I can't seem to stop in any way for the last 30 turns

As for killing your own family members -- yes, you can with your own assassins. Just put the figurine ontop your family member as you would do with any pesky mollah spreading islam in your wonderful Moscow. It works.

I also kinda miss the ability to make incest marriges I've never done it in MTW1 but I suppose I would get children with some very weird traits.

Haha, incest marriages were great. I loved getting heirs who were crazy, deformed and whatever other crazy traits came along with it. Good times.

Titles were in BI in the form of retinue items. You had to bring two generals together to reassign them, but when a title holder died a new one would be appointed if he fit the criteria. 'twas good.

ahhhhhhhh good times were i appointed a gen who is a pervert and not pious at all to be the Patriarch! ahahahahaha, then i let him marry my daughter, well for one thing portraits of clergy in MTW are much more better than those cleanshaven one in M2tw i mean i got the impression they were all the same faces only facing a different direction!

I liked the way portraits were "aging" with time in RTW. Is this feature in this time around?

I hated these perverts, I'd usually kill them so that they wouldn't ruin the family's name

Am I the only one who's gotten the impression that some factions received perverts more often than others?

Are you joking ? ME1 portraits are ugly i do miss the titles tho.

@Antonov:Yes that feature is still in .and i had alot of "sexualy confused" men playing the HRE xD but the italian factions always has them.

Yes, for some reason, in my games the HRE always rates high on perverts. Or maybe it's just my impression.
