I suggest that we should add some regional bonuses, specially to those provinces which are important in this setting but actually weren't during our previous restarts, like Dustonbury or Starpike. For Peakes I suggest something like these:
-Two Castles: Peakes boast about their large demesne, as they hold not one or two, but two powerful castles and are one of the largest and most powerful landholders in the whole Reach; few can match the prowess and the might of the Peakes at war, simply because they have a larger number of vassals and serfs! +500 Levy points.
-Thick Walls: Starpike is the crown jewel of the Peakes, sturdy, well fortified and imposing few can dare to siege such a stronghold. +2 to siege defense rolls and 6 months holdout time.
For Manderly:
-The Wealth of the Mermen: For centuries the Manderlys have massed a large wealth, mayhaps the largest of the Reach, only surpassed by the legendary rich Hightowers and the Gardeners themselves. They are well-known for their love to coin and both their largesse and opulence. +2 Wealth.
-Dustonbury: The fertile land of the Manderly, well-watered by the Mander and well-ruled by its overlords is one of the most bountiful in the Reach, giving the fortress an additional 6 months holdout time and. The Keep of the Mermen is a splendid seat, the riches of which rival or surpass every other of the greatest noble seats in the realm, granting its holder +1 to Charisma. House Manderly has fortified Dustonbory accordingly, +1 to siege defense rolls.
Mods, let's talk about a starting event:
We have to think about an event good enough to trigger the setting's events and start running this. The best choice would be the funeral of Garth Greybeard, with everyone attending by comprise, reluctant to put the swords aside. I imagine a tense situation, with everyone willing to jump at each other's throats. However, that might or might not work, we could something much more easy:
Simply, I can trigger the game's start by declaring my rights and establishing myself at Highgarden. Manderly and Peake would be already at war, everyone would have their armies raised and we can just start moving forward. As our forces aren't as great as a Westeros-wide restart I imagine it should be a slower war, taking positions, with counted and calculated battles, as we don't have as many men to replenish loses, so we should avoid being in a rush and moving quickly.
A third option would be a meeting somewhere in the Reach, to parlay. A parlay that would, of course, end terribly, as no-one is willing to surrender their rights at this point. It could be helpful to define sides and support to every claimant. However, we could make it organically with the more sudden and simple start I mentioned before.
We shouldn't force sides unless it's too unbalanced, but rather leave players decide on their own.
^ All good suggestions by Oz. I would be more inclined to a parlay than a funeral. Wedding/funeral/coronation seems a bit generic. A parlay would be a good thing.
Funerals, weddings, and feasts are generally bad starters, as shown in the past.
I'm confused as to the status of Dunstonbury; is it a province or not? and if so, I can't find anything for it in terms of income
Parlay on a neutral ground? Like somewhere along the Mander's shores or maybe at the Starry Sept (Oldtown); the High Septon holding and presiding the parlay would be understandable and reasonable, don't you agree?
Yup. I second that.
I take offence at that, BF. Everyone knows Comyn assaulted himself and then accused Bruce as he was dying!![]()

The Ring is poor as. Might want to look at it for rebalancing (they are high lords). If they stay where they are that's fine, but it just seems weird that a high lord can be steamrolled by minor lords.
Northreach is that that backwards part of the Reach, the part no one cares about![]()
Have my suggestions over the new regional bonuses been pondered? I think we need to spice up our provinces and our bonuses, even if they might be made up, just for the sake of the gameplay and making things interesting.
Poach has told me that work shall be done to improve the weaker High Lords.

Anyway, can we have some moderation for Eredin and I's battle, please? I sent you my orders, Poach, but I though it would be better to send in an official request.

I just want to inform the mods here that I changed my Caravans from 2 to 3. I've edited my bank thread. This is because i was unaware that one started with a Caravan. And I hope this change is acceptable and not viewed as cheating..

*sigh* You'd think I'd have learned about the danger of foreign aid by now, but by God Ponti will burn for this! And Mern will too!
