To the Lords of the Blueburn, Lord Meadows,

I, the High Steward Osmund of Tyrell, have reclaimed Highgarden for the purpose of beginning an end to this realm divide.
On behalf of Mern of Gardener, who I have chosen to bequeath this traditional throne to, we beseech you to consider joining in hand with my humble House of Tyrell in ending the realm divide.

On a level of blunt honest, I can understand your possible concerns as to a Reach ruled by one Mern Gardener, or your doubts as to the ability of his court and governance.
But I assure you, I can attempt to assuage those concerns and doubts, if you entertain the words we may offer.

We do not demand your allegiance simply because of the practicality of doing so. Consider that when judging our worthiness of your allegiance.
However, we also would warmly remind you that joining with us now will speed the process of unification, and the sooner we unify, the sooner the united Reach can deal with its neighbors.

Respond to us when thouest feels to do so. Dialogue is opened, you need only engage with it.

Word spreads like wildfyre, ravens fly from castle to castle, it is talked about in taverns and brothels, and it reaches even the highest courts in the Reach and beyond! The Forces of House Peake, led by Ser Yoren Peake, took a critical victory from House Manderly at the Battle of Starpike! The first battle of the civil war had been fought, and its victor was now known.

A triumphal letter spreads through the Reach:

To the Lords and Ladies of the Reach:

Lord Arthor Manderly has bended the knee to us and accepted our benevolent rule. Gracefully we have bestowed upon his princely person our most gracious pardon, and he shall hereby be known as one of our most valuable, dear and close vassals, kin and blood. The legitimate blood of the Gardeners has been rejoined again in friendship and allegiance. I hereby bestow upon Lord Manderly the title of Prince of the Mander, that shall be inherited by his offspring with the most gracious Princess Gwynesse Gardener, whom we recognize as the sole legetimate offspring of our beloved cousin, Garth X Gardener and who we name as Pearl of the Realm and First Princess of the Blood. Shall our male line perish we recognize her offspring as our sole legitimate heirs on this realm, over any other claim of dubious origin, as they are closest in blood and kin. Only Peake remains to bend the knee, and shall he admit the bastardy of his wife and lay down his unrightful claims we shall be merciful and compassionate.
