Default I want to play Attila but... I can't.

Hello everyone I am wondering if any tech savoy guys can help me out here. I want to upgrade my gpu in order to give me a chance of enjoying this game. Yes i can play the game with performance and max performance settings but I would rather play Rome 2 on very high and ultra settings. Now I would like something in a reasonable price range that will definitely see an increase in power and ability to play games, not looking for the best of the best but a good upgrade for roughly around $150-$200. thanks.

    here are my specs.

CPU: AMD FX-6300 six core 3.5GHz
    RAM:8gb
    GPU: Radeon hd 7750 1gb
    core clock: 800 MHz
    OS: windows 7

So whats your question, you said you already can play the game on max settings? Why would you need a new gpu then?

    To play on +1 settings??

I believe he said he could play Atilla only in max performance to performance which is low to medium in the settings of Rome 2.

And as for the OP, I think there are no video cards withing $150 - 200 price range that could pull of such game. I could be wrong though, our country might have different selling rates. Since my knowledge on radeon cards are quite limited, I could only suggest nvidia geforce cards to you. If you really want to go for quality to Max quality on Attila I'd go for a GTX 970 , or if your local PC shops are still selling older series(which is cheaper), I'd would go for a GTX 770 or an 870. But if you're a "60 fps dude", there's a higher chance you'll get disappointed due to it's optimization issues.

No matter what gpu you get you'll be disappointed with the performance unfortunately. Here's one that fits your price range though.

I'm going to look into that gpu on newegg, thanks for the recommendation. I just need an increase in gpu power really, like my cpu is fine and most cpu heavy games it works perfectly, like run skyrim max settings, shadows aside(run them on medium). Probably going to snag that one, will be a much needed increase in performance, not trying to build a god pc, just something that plays the games at 40 plus frames and with good visuals.

Build your own better n stick to nvidia/intel. (and before someone replies, no am not biased just a realist/honest).

If you want a list of parts can do you a build but head over to the basement and read the stickies there.

And the game is horribly optimised...

Not saying your biased, but I think that at this point in time amd has better cheap cards while nvidia has mid-high end cards locked up. I'm sure that will change again in the future but right now a lot of people are satisfied with the new generation (even if it is just an iteration of the previous gen) of amd cards.

Cheap doesnt mean better. In fact for the sake of a few quid you can get an nvidia alternative at any range i.e low/mid/high.

Difference in cost is pretty neglible and if you are upgrading I'd save up more to get something better which is better.

A 960 is around £150...hardly loads...if you are doing a decent build. (which is around the £500 mark for a 1080p screen + 0 _). Anything else isnt worth doing in my opinion...unless it's a light/media center build. The old "I can go cheap on Amd stuff" will run something sure but you are just fooling yourself.

Trust me within a yr you will be looking to upgrade a part or you will find your setup is struggling with a certain game. That's just how it is!

Been there done that so to speak.
