I'm looking forward to playing the Dwarfs. Plenty of defense, long range weapons, strong armor and tough armor spite their numbers. But if i'm forced my hand, will i have good units to charge head on with?

The Record of Lodoss War, The Mother of all Epic High Fantasy stories.
at the boardgame it was a rare thing then it happened, but the dorfs roster have a few good charge units (hammerers, slayers, old beards with great weapon).
They are more a defensive race, and it is really reflected on them by lore and gameplay.

very slowly. Duh
Their unit stats are all over the game play videos have a look. For gameplay, the "hole up on a hill and shoot" tactic will probably be your best bet. Hammerers and such charge oriented units should probably be held in reserve to counter charge flanking units and flanking themselves rather than be used to attack. Although they probably can be used as such.
Yep, but I just remembered a dorfs army I once saw play out ^^
it had a few arty and some range units, but it used a lot of miners and melee anvil units.
So his tactic was to circle around the enemy's army while it moved forward.
It was the most offensive dorf army I have seen.

Slowly but with weight.
Shouldn't be a problem. Dwarfs are natural sprinters, not made for long distances though.
