    Default CA's silence?

The leaked files pertaining to a Charlemagne themed expansion were discovered in Attila's Modding Kit on the 6th of October. This was followed by complete silence on the subject by CA until the 24th of November. Thats 49 days or 7 weeks, of allowing speculation and potentially hype to build. Was this a cunning marketing technique to gauge excitement for the expansion, or a simple mistake followed by CA's traditional tactic of only engaging the community when it is ready to sell something. If it is the latter, one once again wonders what possible benefit the delay in confirming the existence of the Charlemagne DLC could give CA. Indeed, as soon as the files were discovered, why not immediately come out and confirm/deny it?

    Thoughts?

Its Hidden Marketing Trick to see whats the reaction from the fan Base.By looking into it - What is stunning is that CA did NOTHING taking into account the Feedback for a Bigger Map - adding of the Balkans, and more territory for the Arabs.Example: North Africa.

Charlemagne was probably already in testing when the leak happened. 7 weeks would not have been enough time to add tons of new content to the campaign without severely delaying it.

The best that we can hope for is for our feedback to be taken into consideration for the next DLC.

Indeed but knowing how far progress likely already was on the expansion by the leak, why not just come out and confirm it there and then. Even if its just "Yeah this is happening, we have an in engine trailer and a basic overview in the works to be released shortly". This would also give them time to, having judged the community's reception, explain what's already been done and what can and can't be changed for the release.

I promise you it wasn't a marketing trick and I promise you that CA doesn't give a what this toxic cesspit of a forum thinks of their games.
