    Default Faction Traits

I there an easy way to get rid of the negative faction traits like CA has done in there recent patch? i'd like to give a campaign like this a go but still have DEI running.

    Thanks.

We have chosen to keep the negative faction traits as a design decision for the mod. Having double positive traits and no negatives not only makes little sense, it is mostly a bonus for the player.

ok i am just curious to see how factions like the Seleucids progress since i have never seen them get anywhere due to them being instantly hated by most of the east?

I've seen them do well, and actually expand. In the campaign I'm playing now, the Seleucids control most of the East.

In my last campaign before i got on the road, the seleucids became a worthy foe for the roman empire. They conquered all the way into baktria, and a big chunk of asia minor.

In my current campaign as Carthage, the main powers are Rome, Seleucids, Parthia and Takashila. The Seleucids have control of almost all of Anatolia, Cyrpus, Syria and Mesopotamia. They seem to be locked in an eternal struggle with Egypt over Phoenicia to the south and with Armenia who are on the back foot. To the east, Parthia and Takashila have conquered everything up to Mesopotamia in an almost even split - Parthia has northern Iran and Azerbaijan and Afghanistan while Takashila have Pakistan, southern Iran and the Persian heartland. The old Seleucids have been holding out for about sixty years!

It's been an excellent campaign thus far and my first with 1.1! So good that I'd love to do an AAR!

I have a question about editing the faction traits: now, I don't want to remove the negative one - indeed, I'd love to keep the trinity of two positive and one negative. That said, I went into PFM and, for some reason, there are certain traits that I cannot change or add. For example, for the Barcids I wanted to change their negative trait from Punic Faith to "The Great Enemy" and one of the other two to the new "Loyal Troops". Hannonids, I wanted to remove Pioneers and give them Statesmen. For some reason, the traits either wouldn't change or it would result in one of them vanishing! Curiously, I was able to add "Silk Road" to Bactria (over Bactrian Prosperity), add "The Great Enemy" to Pontus as opposed to "Forsaken Persian Origins" and change the Seleucids traits to Great Builders and Cultural Assimilation (whilst keeping "Overlords of the East).

As a little note, I don't want to make it easier for certain factions, but I feel those two for the Seleucids are more apt - they're famous for constructing cities and, until Antiochos Megas, refrained from aggressive Hellenisation (though that would have been a good alternative to Cultural Assimilation, but weirdly it wouldn't work).
