They used yaris, as I understand it polearms were the go-to weapon for much of Japanese warfare. This was the Morning Sun mod again. This story focuses on two (in game) depleted units of around 10 and 60 men if I remember correctly, who fought off 300 enemy soldiers (one full strength unit). Naturally the took heavy casualties, until the enemy unit broke.

My jizamurai would be mixed in with the lesser ashigaru; they aren't peasants but they also don't go with the well established samurai.

Ive been meaning to put up some clips or pics of the battle, but keep forgetting. I'll have to try to dig up the replay

Darthmod, plus I edited the save file to have slightly larger units. Full size yari ashigaru was like 281 I think

Its all a matter of scope, the small focus and intentionally short story line allow for a lot of details without taking too much out of me, the author. Will I do more of these? Probably, they're nice as a break from my other projects
