It's a bit weird. This show gets better and better, yet the ratings drop each season. Perhaps the first season is way too slow to convince people of the quality of the story. I have to admit, it was only by the end of the first season (when they found the proto-molecue infected girl at that station) when I realized the show had something more to offer than generic sci-fi. Season 2 confirmed that impression.

The general public dont tend to flock towards quality though. Imo.

The show needs a soul first. I don't feel any excitement or progression while watching it. Actors like reading their lines bland, not showing emotion alot. Of course ratings got hit big after Thomas Jane gone.

main problem with ratings is the useless nielsen bull. also, syfy has only the rights to show it on their channel, no streaming, all the views via amazon and netflix arent part of those numbers.

Ya'll are dancing when they're in talks. Merely talks. Funny.

Interesting thing to note is Bezos was aggravated when SyFy got the rights in the first place so that might be a good thing.

Let's think the unthinkable, let's do the undoable. Let us prepare to grapple with the ineffable itself, and see if we may not eff it after all.

At this point in the tv series it requires book knowledge to answer this question. And that’s the simple way of putting it.

Expanse officially picked up for a fourth season by Amazon Studios

I guess annoying the ever loving out of the internet as well as flying a plane with a banner over their HQ is the way to go now.

Thank god. After the most recent episode I'd be so sad to see it end after starting Abaddon's Gate. Now I can rest easy on starting to read this summer.

YES, I knew it. So happy

Tho, curious on the details of the deal, whether Netflix will loose all viewing rights outside NA, or they ll be allowed to keep the first 2 (3) seasons...
