Third Age installer doesn't run

I downloaded and tried to install this great mod. I had it before, but i wanted to install Divide&Conquer 0.5 and it require a clean version of the game. I unistalled it, then it tried t install it again - however installer didn't want to work, proccess was somewhere at the bottom of the Task Manager list. I tried to end it, but i couldn't, my computer began to run slower. Can anybody help? Is this my computer fault, or what?

1) What are your system/computer specifications? It is a big Installer, and for some users it tends to run slower, and for some faster. How long have you waited for it to start?

2) When you first installed TATW, did you have this same issue?

3) how much free space do you have on your Hard Drive? When was the last time you defragmented your hard drive ( if you have a Solid state drive, then do not defragment)?

1) Windows 7 64-bit, Intel Core i3-2310M 2.10 GHz, 4 GB RAM, Geforce GT520M 1GB. I waited a few hours, about 4.
2) For the first time everything went good
3) about 30 GB (shame on me). I'll try to after scanning, because I think it could be a sality virus

Maybe it would be best to re-download the Installers, and try again. Where did you download them from?

Also, that is not a lot of free space on your HDD you know ...

Yup, I know from moddb. I'm cleaning my computer right know, so there is hope for my HDD

Well, if you downloaded from MoDDb, then it should not contain a virus.. but you can never be certain. Clean your PC, defragment your hdd, and hope for the best.

Hmm.. You probably have a corrupt Windows Registry input regarding file associations, or, you had downloaded the Installers by using Internet Explorer.

I would suggest Mozilla Firefox for downloading files in the future.. There are two possible solutions for this issue:

1)If you used Internet Explorer, then Reset Internet Explorer settings: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/923737

2) Use this "Fix it myself method" to restore exe file association in Windows Registry: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...xItForMeAlways

everything works perfectly. I redownloaded Third Age and installed it one by one, but before installation I turned off Google Chrome. I don't know if that help, but still I can play the game <3
