Dragonstone and Driftmark were under siege. Joffrey's Baratheon forces were laying siege to them in number of thousands and with each passing moment there were less and less hope for any miracle. Yet miracle happened and as the Red Woman had foreseen Azor Ahai has returned across the sea to bring fire and death among his enemies. Stannis Baratheon, the only rightful King of Westeros has changed his plans in the last moment, hoping to trick his enemies in doing mistake which would be their downfall. And he was right.
Joffrey was so arrogant that he send his dogs on Dragonstone the moment Stannis was abroad but that was not all. Young boy himself decided to participate in battle but instead of laughing over dead corpses of his enemies it was he who met the end in the fire.
Stannis forces stroke suddenly and unexpectedly in the middle of the night, first by destroying Crown's fleet and then by attacking enemies from behind. Joffrey's soldiers were soon overrun and with nowhere to retreat every single one of them was slain with the exception of those who change sides and join Stannis. In the liberation of Dragonstone both the Hound and Joffrey lost their lives but that was not all. Afterwards Stannis took his best men and sail to Driftmark. There he fought another battle and slain all his enemies, including Joffrey's dogs Aurane Waters, Janos Slynt and many others. Tommen Baratheon was also cought in battle and is now in the dark cells under Dragonstone.
With Crownlands armies crushed, nothing now stands between Stannis Baratheon and his rightful seat in King's Landing. May this be a warning to all other Usurpers who are thinking to stand in his way.
