What you guys think about his ideas?
Lots of good suggestions here, though at some, it begs the question: is AI going to be able to handle it?
yeah all old ideas, im sure CA considered most of them and as others pointed out most would be very hard to implement for AI
War is Hell, and I'm the Devil!
Some of them wouldn't be any harder than the systems in game already. This public order system with a few flat changes in the vanilla (like conquest) would be better to see than the current version. Bringing back wounded men would be nice to see and I still wish that minor settlements in Empire were properly developed so we could avoid more seiges.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Some of them are good, some of them are only useful in very particular scenarios, and some of them are clearly only good if you absolutely love dealing with them every time.
And yes, nearly all of them would require the AI to also use them with a level of intelligence, so that pretty much makes the features a no-go.
video's suggestions are far too broad to comment on in a single response though, I think the guy should have been more specific and narrow in his subjects, I mean some might work well in a game like Empire but work horribly in Rome2, and vice versa.
Unfortunately the people who make these games lack any kind of vision
In here within lies the problem. I think that there are many people working for CA who certainly know what qualities would make a better game, but they don't call the shots. It's a giant bureaucracy now, with people working on different elements that probably don't even talk to each other. It's like bad poetry or philosophy, it's been whitewashed or over mitigated by the wrong means. The collective spirit of CA went out with a whimpering bark after Rome 2. It had been in a slow decline prior, but that was the final flutter.
Shogun 2, no thanks I will stick with Kingdoms SS.
My most wanted feature is Slav DLC.
