    Default Villa de Montilyet

A small estate located near Jerusalem, seized by the men of Lady Montilyet's host shortly after the fall of Jerusalem, now used as her present residence. A moderately sized encampment is located on the grounds, where her soldiers reside as the leading figures of the host debate their next move in the villa.

    Mercenaries :
-Mercenary forces come in two sizes, band and company. Bands are forces around a thousand soldiers(with two exceptions) that can be hired for a longer contract (I currently have it at five years) and at lower cost than the companies (current cost ranges from 10,000 to 25,000). The downside to bands are they have less variety than the companies and some may not have a unique unit like the companies. Companies vary in size, but number at least three thousand soldiers and at most five thousand. Company contracts last three years and are more expensive, with each company having a set rate per year(I picture these operating like the sellsword companies from GoT) and the potential to betray their employer(through a player on the opposite side bribing the mercenary leader, or not being paid).

    Bands :
    Flemish : 400 Pikemen, 100 Handgunners
    German : 300 Pikemen, 200 Heavy Infantry, 100 Handgunners
Welsh : 500 Welsh Longbowmen, 400 Spearmen, 100 Heavy Infantry

Breton : 200 Heavy Cavalry, 300 Light Cavalry, 200 Heavy Infantry

Malcolm bows courteously to Lucille, and accepts the wine.

"My Lady, I hear you are yet to hold lands and vassalage. I have come with a proposition to solve that."

Malcolm sips some wine the sooth his parched throat.

"Soon King Julien will be marching to take Jaffa, and then I imagine, Tyre. If you would be willing to swear fealty to me, I will try my utmost to negotiate your control of Tyre."

Lucille nods. "That would sadly be correct, something I do hope to rectify in the future." She listens to his proposal before eating a piece of cheese from a tray of food brought by a servant, then sighing. "I could simply approach your king to negotiate this myself, offering the aid of my soldiers in his campaign in exchange for Tyre, rather than swear fealty and have you represent my interests in negotiating."

    Malcolm nods calmly.

"That's true, but I do hold significant interest at court, as a Duke and as Marshal of the Realm. I may be able to negotiate a better deal."

Lucille leans back in her chair, steepling her fingers as she thinks for a short while before shaking her head. "Even if you could negotiate a better deal, accepting your offer may result in your king stating the only land I would receive is part of what he may have promised you as your domain, my lord." She pauses for a moment. "A risk I would not want to take."

    ------
A representative of the Prince of Antioch arrives at the Villa, requesting an audience with lady Montilyet.

The representative is led to the main hall of the Estate by one of the lady's knights. Lucille, who was meeting with two of her subcommanders, Dorian Rochechouart and Giovanni Visconti, dismisses them upon the emissary's arrival. "My lady, a emissary of the Prince of Antioch." The knight states before bowing and leaving the hall. Lucille gestures for the man to sit. "How fares Antioch?"

    Malcolm smiled guiltily.

" Ah well, it was worth a try. No matter"

He pauses to eat a slice of bread and cheese.

"However, I would still like to request that you put your forces at my disposal. I would be willing to pay you, and put in a good word with the king. I shall leave you to come to a deal with him regarding lands, though. "

The emissary was a Norman, the stout son of a minor noble from Rouen. Taking a seat, the knight unconsciously rubs his bearded chin as he responds in accented French.

"Antioch is well, milady, as is its Prince. How do you fare, lady Montilyet?" He asked, courteously.

"That is good to hear..as for myself, I am quite well." She takes a sip from her cup of wine, and a servant offers one to the emissary. "May I inquire what the Prince would ask of my house or host?"
    ------
Lucille thinks about the duke's request, it was something she had discussed with her officers at length, becoming a mercenary company that would bolster the Crusader States for pay to hire local mercenaries, European mercenaries, and some Crusaders not sworn to a kingdom. "I shall consider your request, my lord.."

"My Lord had the suggestion of the port of Laodicea, a wealthy and well located seat for your Ladyship."

Lucille drinks from her cup of wine. "A very generous offer....one I sadly must decline at the moment as there is another port city I desire to have as my seat, along with correcting a past mistake of mine." She looks for a few moments at the map on the table, specifically the rock with a crescent etched on it lying over the area between Tyre and Sidon.

Seven horses approach the Villa de Montilyet. The colors they wear of different origins throughout the Kingdom of France and the Holy Roman Empire. Each mounted soldier carries a spear, a sword and a shield upon their back. Their eyes gaze before the Villa, hoping that the owner and lady of this small estate would take them in so that they may serve her faithfully. The gates open and the seven soldiers enter to join the services of the Lady de Montilyet...

Nodding firmly, the Knight gave a resigned look.

"Very well, my Lady. I thank you for your hospitality." The Norman said, before giving a curt bow.

By way of the path from Jerusalem, a few horsemen appear at the front of the small manor, the riders dismounting just as they passed from the worked fields and into the courtyard of the estate.
The leader came forward, his hands put together in front of him at his waist in humility.
"I was told that I could find the vicomtesse here, I have come from Béziers in Francia."

One of the guardsmen, a knight from Narbonne, leads Azémar into the main hall of the estate, where Lucille sits on a divan reading a letter from one of her messengers sent out to one of the Crusader States returned with. She eats a piece of kavun after placing down the letter, then turns when her knight approaches with Azémar. "My lady, this knight arrived seeking you by one of your titles from Francia, he is from Béziers." Lucille nods and gestures for Azémar to sit on a divan. "Get this man a cup of wine and retrieve some more meze." she orders a servant in Provençal. "...You look slightly familiar, sir...have you come with word from my uncle?"
