Yes, but they also can have Violence traits, which I imagine has to do with how Crusade happy a pope would be.

On a side note, I have yet to have a female priest, which surprises me, because I have around 15 priests in all of my cities/castles.

I get the dang pagan magician alot, but never the female one, and I raise alot of priests in hopes to have cardinals so I can become Pope (which does very little at all in truth)

There are several "gay" traits that generals get, too. "This man openly hugs other men..."...the line of traits gives -morale and -authority, iirc. There is also a 'flamboyant foreigner' retinue that one of my generals got... one of the worst negative retinues I've ever seen!
