Please describe how you open the cinematic editor.
Some helpful tutorials.
never mind i was stupid and didnt watch the video i was supposed to extract it to my game installation folder thank you for helping you me man your the best ive got so much weight of me now
I have never used the cinematic editor, but I would suspect your set up of either the CFG or BAT file. Are you using Steam, by the way?
I just dug out my years old BAT\CFG set and adjusted it to the recent merge of the EXE files. The result is a universal BAT\CFG set, simply extract the ZIP file into your mod's folder, eg mods\PC_mod - all that is required is a minor adjustment in the CFG file (opens with notepad). DO NOT edit the BAT file - no change is required, regardless which mod folder you place it as long as you don't the CFG file's name.
Replace MY MOD with the name of your mod:
When saving your battle replay make sure to use the default Replay, else you will have to adjust the CFG file.Code:[features] mod = mods/MY MOD # adjust MY MOD to your mod's name editor = 1 [replay] play = 1 file = mods\MY MOD\replays\Replay.rpy # adjust MY MOD to your mod's name camera = camera\ show_battle_ui = 0 info = 0
After saving your replay exit the game and start it with the CineEd BAT file. Proceed to 'Load Game' and 'Load Battle Replay' and choose the 'Replay' save.
An error message will pop up which you can safely ignore by clicking on the button.
Your replay will now start in cinematic editor mode. Screenshots can be made by pressing the 'prt scr' button on your keyboard, the pictures will be saved in TGA format in the ...\Medieval II Total War\tgas folder. For more details about screenshots see this tutorial: Creating a World - High Resolution Screenshots
This looks like prime material for another tutorial of mine, just have to figure out how to hide the battle UI completely.
Edit: That's not the right file set up - check this post of mine
I corrected the set up for the editor, still struggling with the render part of it.
Simply extract the ZIP file into your mod's folder and then edit the mod name in the CFG file with Notepad.
Double click\run the CineED-Editor.bat file, make sure you have a replay.rpy file in the mod's replay folder.
My Bare Geomod Kingdoms set up is essentially the default game with kingdoms abilities. A basic version (Medieval 1.11) is available as well, use either of those then extract the ZIP file as instructed. I think it's actually set up for it - but check the CFG file anyhow.
ok i mean like i unpacked my files which camera do i choose i cant find rtw anywhere
*rts
I have not been able to configure the renderer correctly so far as I mentioend. Didn't have the time to go through the complete thread I posted in about it to get more info.
nvm it works now i had to change the camera name in the config file to point to the camera name not the camera group but now when i render why is it slow?
i encoded it with handbrake lol
