After a dodgy week or so with crashes,ive been playing the game ok sincewith only the odd freeze or crash,which is par for the course with pc games it seems these days.
Ok then been on my 3rd campaign,and tried the englsih,danes and now the french,and i hate to say it,but im begining to get a wee wee bit bored,of the same old thing every time now.
Dont get me wrong the game,graphics etc is great,even the AI in MHO is better then it was,and of course we have the patch coming to,but i wish they had made it more advanced in stuff like supplys,naval battles,spying,deals etc.
Im on turn 70,already and there is only 4 countrys left,wish they had reemerging nations again,maybe new ones pop up (swiss etc),just to make it more interesting,all 3 campaigns have seen the mongols and timuids domiante which is true,but a bit boring now,they are hard to fight,with horse archers a real pain
I read the IGN review that lots of people knocked,as i did at the time,but the reviewer is right when he said he was kind of annoyed taht they have not moved it on a bit more,tried a few things different,maybe added more nations in,independent towns etc,and not just identikit rebels.
Im not to sure what im getting at myself,but ill of course keep playing and enjoy it,but personlay wish someone will mix a civ game with a total war game,and a europa universailis game(and not the crap HOI ones),have all the world as takeable,but make it so its nearly impossable(rebellions etc),but still if you manage everything right doable.
Ah well im heading of now to fight timur the lame,and his empire (over half of europe damn),gonna be a long haul.
