    Default recommended difficulty

i am playing a multiplayer campaign, the opponent human leads troops into battle of the AI factions.
i would like to know the difficulty level where the AI does not have any kind of bonuses in the units,so there is no advantage in the battle over the human player that leads the troops of the factions of the AI and the battle is realistic, thanks.

Normal battle difficulty is recommended. You can change that after starting a campaign on any other difficulty level.

It can't be changed in the multiplayer campaign sadly enough, a sub mod was made a while back for DEI that enable hard campaign/ normal battles but I doubt it will work with 1.1, hopefully Teukros updates it.

well, because with the other version of the mod in the multiplayer campaign played in hard level of difficulty, then you had to attack with wide numerical superiority to win the human player wearing factions AI and the campaign became impossible for the two human players.
in this great campaign in hard level of difficulty i play with cartthage and the other human player with rome and i attack the faction turdetani and use all the resources of carthage in this war with this iberian tribe, with the possibility of an attack of rome, but the human player with rome have serious problems with the celts of cisalpine gaul, the armies of the AI factions on hard level of difficulty are played by human players and the battles were unrealistic. to subdue the end turdetani was invaded
i think we will begin a new campaign with the new version, the macedonian wars campaing,i'll play with rome and macedonia the another human player on the recommended level of difficulty.
    thanks for this important clarification.

Anibal at portas, I recommend this submod for you and your friend: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...Normal-Battles

I've been using this in my own coop games for a long time and it's truly awesome. Hope this helps!

I've been using a custom mod that me and my friend made for our coop campaigns. It simply has different values at normal difficulty. You can download PFM and change things You want Yourself (db -> campaign_difficulty_handicap_effects_tables), like upkeep, recruitment slots, food etc. Normal difficulty has values of 0 for human and 0 for AI in the "campaign_difficulty_handicap" column. With this set up, You can go to Coop campaign and put it on normal to have balanced battles, while at the same time giving AI an edge on the campaign map.
