can´t install britannia and crusades campaingn from original dvd

Hello guiys i would like to ask some help in this matter...as the title says i can´t install this two campaigns...i´ve never had problems installing and unistalling but this time i get this issue....my dvd is ok although the age...i bought the collector box, some months ago i unistaled all the campaigns and when i tried to install again all that i could install was the teutonic and americas....the britannia and crusades the instalation crashes....the thing is that i had a backup of a clean folder of medieval and when i put it back in the sega folder and uses the exe all the campaigns work ok and with the dvd in my computer...can someone help me in this? want to install from the dvd, will i lose my dvd?Please guys help in this i´ve no idea to fix this issue.Many thanks in advance

Possibly a mechanical damage to the disk. Have you tried to install the two campaigns individually from their folders on the disk?

Are you going to play those campaigns? You only require one of the campaigns to be installed to be able to play kingdom mods.

I know what the cause of this is.

It's the registry. I had this same problem before. You need to repair the registry. What happens is that sometimes when you delete a game, it doesn't delete the registry entry, so the computer thinks it's still installed. This means, when you go to install the game, you can't.

The way to fix it is to download a free tool like C Cleaner. Then run C cleaner - you will see the option to scan the registry for issues. Click 'fix all'. It will delete the old registry entries. You should then be able to install your game without any problems.

It's a possibility, certainly in the light of a re-install. Hellekin might have to copy the error message here to confirm - if it 'simply crashed' then I guess it's a damaged disk.

CCleaner is relatively good with registry stuff (I always use it for all the other clean up issues), personally I prefer Wise Registry Cleaner to do the registry - it's a bit more in depth.
