    Default Improving performance in 1.1

Due to the fact, that you have changed a lot for the latest release:
Are there any suggestions on how to improve performance under 1.1?
I mean apart from buying a completely new computer ...

Thanks a lot for that great mod!

Buy an SSD and install the game there. This will drastically improve loading times.

Don't really know if this is true but the game run much smoother somehow ( from a crappy lap user ).

We have improved the performance from version 1.05 to 1.1 by cleaning the files etc etc.

Great news! To someone who play all low and only unit details in medium , this is a god send XD ! Thanks a lot for all the works.

Is it just me or does anyone else get massive fps drops when zooming in down to ground level?
The drop already occurs during deployment phase as well as during the battle itself. When I zoom out again, the drop is gone. This surely didn't happen in the previous version (1.05, no submods). My rig shouldn't be the problem (i5-4470, 970gtx, 8 gb ram).

I have a very similar rig rjb (i5 4560k, GTX 970, 16GB RAM) and I'm not getting the problem.

Then again I've picked graphics settings that I'm certain can run 40 v 40 battles with minimal slowdown so they handle nearly any battle really smoothly (mostly High settings with Medium unit size)

Also well done DeI team for the performance clean up! Works much smoother than 1.05!

Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere, but does anyone know the total size of Rome2+DEI? I have a 16gb SSD, and am considering if I should install the game there to reduce load times. Thanks

    Together it's around 37gb.

    A'right, thanks Frankly.
I'll do some testing with different settings and see if I can find the reason.

    Rjb,
it might depend on your CPU. Your 4470 is a class beyond the 4560k. Maybe check the taskmanager during gameplay.
