    Default Bonus vs infantry

    Hi every one.
I'm going to make a mod that changes battles and in fact i'm updating a mod but i have a problem about bonus vs infantry in land unit tables:
How it works in combination with weapon damage and ap damage in the table. If someone explain me that i will be grateful.

Supposedly The bonus works same as charge, that means, the damage of the weapon is augmented based on the number of the bonus. e.g. if a weapon has 10 damage, and the bonification has 10+ against infantry, that means the weapon deals 20 damage to the infantry only. The thing I haven't tested is if the bonification also augment the armor piercing damage but I suppose it does.

If it works same as charge, then melee attack chance is increased instead of AP, so not only you deal more damage, but also get higher chance to hit.

Charge, bonus vs infantry, bonus vs large increase both: mele attack skill (Chance to hit) and weapon damage? "Bonus vs" and "Charge" weapon damage is armor penitration damage or not?

yes, they increase both melee attack and damage. Weapon damage is value that reduces the hitpoints, while armor is random value 1-max that reduces the damage. so let say you have 100 HP, 100 Armor and you attack with weapon that deals 100 damage. in that case, random roll is made 1-100, and damage is reduced by it, then final value decreases the hitpoints.. if hitpoints get below 0, entity dies..

We talk about body armor, right? 70 armor = 1-70 roll, 150 armor = 1-150 roll? Frontal range attacks need to roll two times? Shild armor roll, after that bodyarmor roll? Or it is one, Shild+body armor roll?

no, Melee attack is different. It goes agaisnt Melee defense value. Difference then decides your chance to hit, yet there are also some values in KV_Rules that adjust that (calculation doesnt start from 0, but 25 (i think) in vanilla, so difference between attack and defense is added to starting value.. Also, there is a minimum and maximum value, so even if defense is higher than attack, there is still a minimum chance to score hit..

Once hit is scored, there is armor vs damage vs hitpoints calculation i mentioned above.. and yes - armor 150 means value 1-150, while armor 70 is 1-70.
