would be so cool to slowly pull back while fighting onto 2 waiting units from both flanks and flank them from both sides is this possible or is it already in this mod?![]()

Dont think this is even possible to mod. Stuff like that which sounds cool is most likely unmodable due to the game engine. Most often when people suggest cool stuff like this, the devs have already tried modding it with no luckBut KAM would know for sure
You can't force units to walk back as engine does not support it, you can only order your troops to complety turn around but they will take large casualties. only was would be to add ability that makes unit immortal for few seconds but visually them would still not move back.

I can make it the way I described it, but it will still not work visually the way you want it.

One of the things I really liked from the classic RTW engine. Just pop the Guard mode button, then let it do it's magic. They can also do a tactical advance by doing the same thing but with right clicking the enemy unit.would be so cool to slowly pull back while fighting
How sad that it doesn't exist in this current engine.
I feel you, if i saw my Roman soldiers retreating by walking slowly backwards while facing the enemy, i think i would cry from happinessbut alas CA dictated that it shall not be done.
You can do staggered withdrawals, Usually best way that i do it is withdraw archers first to set up new line, then pull back to the heavy infantry, and if i cav to charge in.
Once heavy infantry have a 30m head start i pull the cav out, then get the archer line to fire into the enemy front.
