    Icon5 Slow/Development Campaign? Campaign Personalities?

    Howdy great peeps,

I've decided to mod Rome II, DeI to be specific, to make it have minimum AI expansion,
since I always hated it in any Total War game that factions get big relatively quick..

So, I hopped on & came here to ask a few questions about the following of the 'campaign personalities'.
since I believe that they are tied directly to making the AI more relaxed (if I am correct):

    1
    . Military Aggressiveness Policy
The main thing I need to change I believe?
This dictates how eager a faction goes to war?

    2
    . Military Behaviour
I think this is the actual behaviour of a faction IN war?
(Protecting their cities/keep captured cities intact - vice, versa?)

    3
    . Reliability Policy
What reputation a faction wants/desires, AKA less back-stabbing?

    4
    . Diplomatic Component
It seemed important but I have no idea what it actually does..
    (Historian, Default, Diplomat & Dynamic)

    5
    . Strategic Component
How a faction treats others in diplomacy?

If anyone could help me with this that would be wonderful!
Would be willing to grant $10 for this explanation.
(It would surely make my game far more enjoyable)

Also should any that read this happen to know,
how do I change the unit banner colour?

    Kind regards,
    Mike

I don't get much back stabbing which I find to be less believable as tribes would turn on each other in a flash if it meant their sovereignty or expansion of power and the same is with empires, Carthage and Rome fought Pyrrus and turned on each other over control of eastern Sicily.

Set all to high, there is no reason why a faction need to passive while other is aggresive, every faction should have the same chance to survive

Set all to balance, i quite forget about this , not remember to much, but i remember the balance is the righ value for this

You can use default vanilla or mix its yourself, high mean a faction will never betray, while low means the opposite

    4. Diplomatic Component
It seemed important but I have no idea what it actually does..

Its nots realy great at all, this actually to separate each AI into different style of diplomacy, all that stuff is customized, in very simple languange easy to understand the rome 2 born with DIPLOMACY part that have weakness and strengh, yes rather to be create as excellent they create to have weakness, to be abused, for example diplomat mean its will be more forgiving and open to friendly treaty, while historian means its will remember the bitterness of its enemy.

Its realy like soap opera, both faction have different trait, once you learned to understand the way its work, then its will be very simple to manipulate the game itself, since you can predict the AI thinking on diplomacy. The best idea is to create perfect diplomacy means you cant abused the AI via treaty.

    5. Strategic Component
How a faction treats others in diplomacy?
No, its contain many of AI decision from how he have its army composition between mercenary , retreat, etc etc, its like one tree that have many branch. Its very powerfull tweaks yet many missed it.

Tweaking the CAI itself require full understanding of what each value meaning and represent, since each of it linked one to another. However when you able to gain the knowledge of it, basicly you are master puppet now, and able to made ANY AI FACTION dance on your tune, will they careless, smart , stupid, etc etc.

If you able to understand the way of rome 2 CAI work, you can understand ATTILA CAI concept since its more like upgrade with added other feature. And possibly the next CAI for future TW Titles like Call Of Warhammer.

If anyone could help me with this that would be wonderful!

You dont need offer money for it , people do it for free, and i am pretty sure $10 its not worthed the time to explain all hard stuff how to tweak the AI , try magnar guide i think he also made the youtube video for it

That very easy request, you dont need tweak any AI personality to have that kind of effect, you only need to edit campaign difficult table, and just set bonus for AI into 1, basicly its will slow down any of AI expansion, since with less money means less army. Its not make AI smart or dumb however. But they will play more defensive then usual.

However if the current AI born with passive trait, its will result CAI stagnancy. Hope its help
