    Default Game Freeze

    Salve Guys

Im new to posting but not to the forms and neither the game. Marvellous piece of work you gents have created here. I do seem to have a problem in customs battles however. It might be in GC as well but I have not tried a campaign as I was waiting for 1.1. The screen friezes but the mouse is still active and one can still hear the commands if the mouse button is clicked. It seems to be a new problem as I played DeI from the very beginning and never had a problem of the like. Could any of you chaps advise on the issue? Vanilla and DeI is fully updated and I use the Steam version of the mod. It seems to happen when I use large armies. This would of course be a major problem in the campaign as one would need a 2X stack eventually.

I can't help you with that issue directly, but I have had many problems with the steam version of the game. Mostly it won't stay active with all 6 parts at the same time so I can't launch DeI, but there were also numerous freezes. All of this has been avoided since using the TWC download version. I play offline and have no problems in about 5 hours of play now.

This is most likely a performance issue. Had reports of that more often lately and actually I had the exact same problem. Solved it by lowering my graphical settings! DeI's textures are of way higher quality than vanilla's which may rise some problems even on average PCs. Try lowering "texture quality" or "unit details" in options. Those settings seem to have a big impact on performance.

To make it clear: I had the exact!!! same issue, decreasing "texture quality" from ultra to very high solved it for me!
