Reminder about 1.1 save compatibility (Oh... and a release date)

Early next week, 1.1 will be releasing! Yay! There should be much rejoicing We are aiming for Monday the 26th as our release date, probably in the late afternoon EST.

But, many of you may be using the Steam version of the mod. If that is the case, your current campaigns will be negatively impacted by the update. While 1.1 will not break your saves (they will load properly), various issues could arise from all the changes included. Since Steam auto-updates, there is not much we can do about that other than recommend you either:

1) Start a new campaign or accept there may be some weird things in your current campaign.
2) Download the standalone version and use that for your save games.

I highly recommend using the TWC standalone version regardless for any potential new users... it seems steam doesn't like a 6-part mod because it rarely launched for me without a lot of restarting and re-downloading of one or more packs (curiously pack 5 alone would disappear sometimes). And even after all that, I got CTDs on splash screen. Screw steam and just play offline with the standalone pack.

If you're playing MP, it's best if you and the person you're playing with both have the same version, to avoid any issues.
