Default My one fear about 1.1.

I'm very excited for 1.1, so much in fact I realised earlier today that I cannot play the Grand Campaign right now because of having a Mac, and I think the reform fix stopped it working. With the inclusion of all the new scripts for the supply system for example, will that then mean that the DLC campaigns will not be playable now either on Mac? I'm aware that 99% of people play on PC, as do the team, and I wish I could play on PC, but is there any chance my fears can be pacified?

I don't know about the supply scripts, but most of the mini-campaigns don't have reforms, so there shouldn't be a problem there. But I have no idea how they'll work on a Mac, and I don't think anyone on the dev team has a Mac to test it on.

I will PM you and we can maybe try to test it on Mac.

I also was worried about this. If you need another tester I'm game.

I also volunteer to be a tester. I don't have a Mac but I can as well pretend its a Mac while playing the latest version. Yes my imagination/desperation is that great

If a test is performed please make sure to update us because I'm on a mac as well! By the way what OS are you using? I was using 10.8.5 (mountain lion) until about Feb-March and it was incompatible with a lot of mods. Since I've updated to Mavericks I've never had a platform compatibility issue, that I know of. I Don't plan on updating to El Capitan as Logic Pro isn't compatible with it yet.

OSX Yosemite 10.10.5. So far the mod still works, the grand campaign doesn't as I suspected, but the mini campaigns do, including Imperator Augustus.

You said in the OP that grand campaign wasn't working in 1.05e, right? Because, on Mavericks I had no problem with campaign with 1.05e so maybe it could be Yosemite. Does it crash when trying to start one? If not where is the issue with grand campaign?

It could be actually, but why that's happening I dunno. I managed to get an Athens grand campaign to start once, but it mostly doesn't start.

Id be willing to test it on Mavericks but seeing as its releasing in two days I'm not sure theres much point. I know theres some who play on Mac, but I imagine the ratio of PC to Mac is pretty overwhelming. They may want to try and find a solution before it releases, though. I mean if it works on Mavericks, thats great for me, but I would imagine the majority of Mac users have Yosemite at this point.

Something off the Mac thread, but my biggest fear is that 1.1 will break the Caesar's Legions mod which I really find immersive. If 1.1 alters startpos, I believe that will break the mod and Caesar hasn't been heard on his thread since mid-August. So he may not be around to update. In which case I imagine I'll have to stay with 1.05 or lose my legions.
"With a population of around a million, Rome (in Claudius' time) was a vast city even by modern standards. It is worth pointing out that during the early Renaissance the population of Rome was no more than fifteen thousand-- living amid the ruins of a civilization that dwarfed their own. It was not until the nineteenth century that the population of Rome returned to the levels it had enjoyed under the Caesars. That is eloquent proof of the fact that human history is not a tale of steady progress towards greater knowledge and achievement." Simon Scarrow
