Default Could part of the siege lag be ordering spam?

I was recently sieged in a city. They broke through the wall- and as soon as they did it was like their entire army erpted with:

    "Advance!"
    "Move out!"
    "Advane!"

orders... I could hear them being given repeatedly and so rapidly it sounded lik gibberish.

Does the AI give too many orders during sieges? The computer really lagged in the siege.

i dunno, but i definitely get loads of lag when i try to get both the large armies and the whole city on to the screen, or when i move the camera over a huge pile of bodies that are lying at the gates.

but i've also hat this spam problem, i was sieged by the HRE, fought off their attack, and at the end, all that was left was one crossbowman standing out of shooting range of my walls and shouting 'ADVANCE' all the time... quite hilarious, i had to rout him with a unit of spearmen

I've also had AI units get stuck "inside" of the walls- like where there would be stone.... The only way I know where they are is the radar map and constant: "Advance! Move!" order being shouted.

I only get lag when the AI piles on at one point. If I'm attacking, I never get lag because I spread my forces out. But they are really in love with sending 15 units barreling through my gate that they just knocked down

Once I disperse their large mass of humanity the lag goes away... within about a half a second of them routing, actually.

Yeah now that you mention it I find the same thing to be true. Although there is an odd amount of lag when you cross your view over outside your castle- s l o w... then when you go back in- speeds up.

I don't get it. It doesn't happen in every siege battle though, even if they are all big. A combination of subtle things is adding up to make this happen.

Just couple of minutes ago, i did a siege test, the dumb ai tried to climb his 1000 soldiers using one ladder, that seems to cause the problem, but to be sure, i treid again, and it happened again, the fps seems to go down to 2!!

It happened in Rome Total War also. I heard a bunch of Greeks shouting right outside my walls. It got quite annoying.

But in this case what is new is the AI units getting all STUCK in a pitiful group. That is broken, not just annoying.

THere both bugs but there separate as far as i can tell. One has the unit stuck and endlessly yelling orders. The other is everyone in the army trying to go up the one ladder at the same time.
