Default First grany in the service of terror

    http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7...331878,00.html

Her family said she had nine children and nearly 30 grandchildren. She was the first known Palestinian grandmother to attempt a suicide bombing against Israelis.

"I am very proud of what she did. Allahu Akbar (God is greatest)," one of her sons, Fuad, 31, told Reuters.

57 years old, 10 children and 30 grandchildren?!?! what the heck are you? rabbits???

Sad thing is that these are rabbits with little to no income and the only education that would be given to them freely is that of the Quran.

Basically what you are saying is that if they are given or provided the means to have a stable income and education they would be different? I disagree, cultural change does not occur simply because their economical situation gets better, cultural change of this sort can only be roughly achieved in a non-religious or at least religiously liberal environment... something most of these people don't have.

Uhh, no. I was saying that it's the madrasahs that will take in people and students for free or close to because it's a matter of control and influence. Though I see what you're saying, and yes I can make the parallel that if these families were richer and wealthier they would not grow and nurture these kinds of extremist attitudes.

Because Palestinians had this culture of suicide bombing and killing Jews even before Israel occupied and oppressed them.....Oh, wait: they haven't.

That's one seriously badass grandmother, btw.

Who says she's the first granny?
I saw the Beslan theater dead, I'd say there were a few women in their 40s there, which is old enough to have grandchildren considering religious fundamentalists tend to have their first child at age 3.

Based on study I read some time ago even wealth is not going to prevent.

Biggest motivator for suicide bomber is actual or perceived occupation of their homeland.

So as long as palestinians feel occupied and oppressed they will resist regardless of monetary benefit. Though amount of those who take up arms would be reduced.

I wish my granny was a suicide bomber. If she went up to Blair and blew the evil sod to bits I would be very proud of her.

Unfortunately, this granny left (the other died many years ago) is completely useless. A bit like myself I suppose. If I had any guts I would suicide myself to destroy the nutter.

Why are there so few suicide bombings in Tibet? Surely, if that was a big motivator there would be at least a few..
It is my understanding that Tibet is and was a fairly poor country. They have been brutally occupied and oppressed by the Chinese for decades, in ways the palestinians cannot imagine.
But there are no buddhists blowing themselves up on Chinese buses, no monks waging holy wars on China. Maybe the motivator is their two very different religions?

No. I don't understand why people are so quick to blame the culture. There are many other logical factors to consider why there has not been suicide bombings in Tibet... Tibet and Palestine are very different. Greater distances perhaps?... distances between the oppressed population and the oppressive regime's native population and so forth.

Israeli occupation is extremely oppressive. I'm sure the Palestinians can imagine how Tibetians feel.

When a weak insurgent group is faced with an oppressive invader that has almost every advantage. The insurgents does not attempt to attack the strong military force of this invader since the enemy's soldiers are well equipped and are part of a strong organization. To put it simply, the real motivation here is that the Israeli army is too strong to be faced. Therefore, Palestinians target the soft targets of the enemy... the civilians, who are enough close to be targetted. It is simple, attack the enemy where it is least prepared.

she certainly is a special case. An old lady bombing children. Interesting.

    As said already but...

Tibet is extremely remote area. In all honesty there is rather little change for average tibetan in current situation. Presence of China is not as clear as in case of Israel.

Second, they have very poor access to weaponry. Unlike Palestine/Isreael which is smack in the middle of busy transportation hub and with nearby friendly populations (not necessarily governments, populations) Tibet is behind very difficult transportation network in area where there are very few weapons traders available. Not to mention problem of paying for those weapons.

    Hi,

I think I can say with confidence that her extended family would have got a hefty donation for her "sacrifice" from the local terrorist group.

Quite frankly I don't give a damn if she wants to throw her life away. The ones I feel sorry for are the soldiers and civilians she was trying to kill and maim.

It doesn't take millions of dollars and massive arms dealer connections to strap some C4 (or whatever suicide bombers use) to your chest and take ride on the nearest Han bus.

The fact is that Tibetans don't blow themselves up is because they are Buddhists and their religions promotes pacifism. But is this a good thing? Is it good that the Tibetans aren't fighting to the death and inflincting as much harm as they can on the Chinese? Well that's a matter of perspective and ideals. Some people are okay with being a defeated nation fading to black, the Palestinians for one are not. I personally dissaprove of the way Tibetans have dealt with thier issue, they should in fact be considerably more violent. Palestinians are not content being part of the same list that includes the Australian Aborigines, Native Americans, Tibetans, Aztecs or Andalusians. I'm glad the Palestinians did not follow the route of the Dalai Lama or Gandhi.

When was having many children a crime? Humans have been mass producing people like this for millennia but now suddenly some metrosexuals in the 1st world turn sterile and are acting all surprised when they see this? Give me a break. Keep your racism to yourself.

I don't know where you live but at places I know having 30 granchildren at 57 is quiet alot.
I know you don't have anything to say when the real psychopath Palestinian is being revealed since it hurts you to see it especially when you're a Muslims but deal with it.

Of course its quite a lot. Did I say other wise? But how is it a crime? And why the racial insults of calling a peoples "rabbits"? Would it be okay for me to call Jews "rats" because they happen to be everywhere?

    Lol!
Considering that each of her child has 3-4 children on average, it actually meant that Palestinians are having less children by the second generation.

The only way the Israelis could win is by outbreeding them, because people do mean power.
