    Default Jihad units.

I know that in crusades you can get special units. (giant crosses, crusaders, templars etc'). But what units can you get for calling Jihads? Are they different from faction to faction? (turks, egypt, moors)

Well there is the Ghazi(I think that's what they are called) and another unit that I can't spell at all .
The ghazi is very good infantry.

    Ghazis and Mutatawii'a

The latter has a big wooden club.

I do wish the Islamic factions got more Jihad units than that but they're decent.

Only Two Infantry units with almost no armour the ghazis look more like peasents with axes and mutatawi'i look like the desert archers but armed with two handed club

Most the islamic factions were overlooked unitwise.. And that its very hard to compete with the catholic factions due to the fact more than 80% of the factions are Catholic.. Total Realism looks seems like it will address this

    Come on
Ghazis are very strong and cheap as hell
You ask for steak, I bring you fish. You say that you think steak is better than fish. I say that fish is much more popular than steak so obviously it's better. You say that no matter how good the fish is it can't be better at being steak than the actual steak we used to serve. I say that's just your perception and you're entitled to it but you should accept that fish is the future and that's good. You begin to say something but I stab you in the eye with a fork and run into the kitchen.

Ghazi's and Mutawai are the only ones I've seen so far. Ghazis look like spearman of sorts but I've yet to find a place where I can retrain them back to full numbers. So usually after a successfull jihad you end up disbanding or merging them. Can't remember if you could retrain crusade units either but my rusty memory says it was possible. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Muslims just get TWO jihad units. Thats just so not cool. Why not some more? They made the only two jihad units look like ugly ass peasants instead of fanatical mujahideen/kamikaze warriors. Though Ghazis are a lot better than pilgrims.

In the overall scheme.. The two Jihad units vs Great Cross, Crusaders Sergeants, Unhorsed Knights, Crusader Knights and the 2-3 different types of fanatics.. Dosn't seem fair at all
