Okey tried it and started as Sabaea, was a really nice experience. Really liked the Royal Guards u got from the start in the Capital, really nice troops. Skins, units, texture is really great. Start went really smooth, captured 2 cities in 45mins trying to capture whole region.

1 negative thing is when u click on the units in battle phase - the camera does not go to the unit so u see it, camera goes some ways from it. A minor problem, i can live with it.

    Thanks for the mod!

    Glad you're enjoying it!

I think the camera issue has been carried over from vanilla, sorry about that.

The Sabaeans have a good unit roster; their best units are cavalry though. Your infantry can't contend with the Hellenistic professional armies (i.e. the phalanx pikemen of the Seleucids/Ptolemies) but your cavalry will be able to counter that issue if you deploy them right. While they can get elephants there are none in Arabia, so you will need to expand into Antioch or Babylonia to get elephants =/

I recommend using their Cataphract Archers! Good anti-cavalry unit.

Okey, thank u for the information! Still have alot of rebel cities to conquerer b4 making war with any factions. Havent seen much cavalry yet just 1 Unit, will try to hire some mercenary cavalry. My plan is going North, selecuids etc. May i ask what ur fav faction is?

I'm not sure really. Depending on my mood, I'll play as whichever faction!

If pressed, I'd say Carthage. Love taking Spain and pushing the Gauls/Romans back!

Whenever I try to start a campaign, it lets me choose my faction then when i click advance it sends me back to the main screen. i have tried to start it from the launcher but it still does not want to let me begin a campaign. when i close out of the game and error message comes up that says

    "Script Error in
    AUC/data/world/maps/campaign/imperial_campaign/descr_strat.txt, at line 935, column 12.

could not create settlement at script line 935."

    any advice?

Do you have the Alex expansion?

Yes I start the game through the expansion on steam, and even through the launcher in the Alexander folder

That's the very first city (i.e. Rome); it must be an incorrect install bud. I tested the mod on a completely new Rome Total War (+BI/Alex) installation and it worked fine.

Make sure the AUC folder AND the AUC_Launcher.bat are both located in your Rome - Total War main folder (NOT Rome Total War/Data). You'll know if it's right, as the folder/launcher files should both be in the same folder as the vanilla game exe.

Well looks like I just found a reason to install Rome TW again. The mod sounds awesome. I can't wait to try it out

    Glad I've inspired ya

Also I aim to put up a new update in the next week or so; will contain the rest of the fixes (hopefully cutting down on the few crashes) and a few new units. Also I've fixed the rebel factions in Arabia and the East (all of which were set to Armenia for some reason, so you would have rebel places in Arabia building temples to Ahura Mazda or Vahagan).

Ok, gonna upload my updated version before the weekend; just going through some more testing (mainly by playing a few campaigns =P).

I thought I'd show you 2 new units - the Praetorian Guard and the Macedonian Agema. What do you think?

Credits go to Lanjane for his fantastic work on the UI!

They look really great. Are there plans to add more?

There are a few reskins (i.e. the Tarentines, the Scutarii and Hypaspists, which are now all Thorakitai).

I've only added 2 new units or so; a Camel Cataphract unit for Sabaea, and an Armoured Archer unit for Armenia.

The congratulations are owed to SpiritofRob; he made the Praetorian skins a VERY long time ago =P

I merely found them, gave them sprites and got UI cards done for them
