Default the aftermath of crushing defeat

    Hi grognards,

Great mod, a worthy successor of mighty EB. And it is still on the rise. What a pity that many bad design decisions harmed the base game irreversibly.

To the point. I wonder how DeI treats huge defeats. I mean all things that happen as a aftermath of battles in which you lose all your main army. Is there any mechanism which simulates disorder and panic made by such events. For instance heavy attrition among garrisons and armies in neighbouring lands, temporary morale drop in all troops below particular experience level. Any boost to rebel threat, public disorder, drop of support of your party, empty or expensive mercenery pool, etc.?

I have not experienced such events to date or I am too gone out by the decades of gaming. From the beginning of the TW franchise I am a big admirer of implementing such decisive battles mechanism as a remedy to stack after stack bind.

What is your perspective in this subject?

Would be really great if such a thing was possible to implement, however I'm not certain that it is unfortunately.

I believe Magnar is working on a sort of army integrity system for Rome 2. It mainly affects the army itself after victories/defeats, not the surrounding areas.

Thank you for response Dresden. Great project. What do you think about this more psychological approach to warfare? The colapse of Persia during Alexander the Great campaign was the purest example how weak morale was after Gaugamela.

I like the idea of adding army integrity to Rome 2. It is something we may look into after 1.1.
