    Three days ago Rob13 requested help on the creation of symbols for a Black Numenorean faction.
    As there is no such canonical symbol I was supposed to take artistic freedom.

    I came up with this:

    After several updates of post #2 of my resource thread it now presents the armorial devices of 44 houses of the Byzantine aristocracy.

    Meanwhile I need some feedback:

    but the lion's heads above don't look "Byzantine" in style so I tried to go for byzantine style iconography.

    There are a few saints that are depicted in the company of lions, one of them is Saint Gerasimos of Jordan and the another is Saint Mamas.
    So far I have three prospectives.
