Very nice shields Mate. I like the texture you made

Have you planned to make the other model, you know the one with the piece covering the chin and mouth?
Note that I'm not sure it fits for peasants actually

I never intended to make that for the early peasants.
I don't think it is historical for that period.
I take my clues from the Maciejowski Bible.

Not sure for the period but definitively agree about the fact it's not relevant to peasants but rather to knights.
Anyway, here is another model (used during 12th and 13th centuries) that you might use:

    No it's a period thing.
In the early period even knights wore padded arming caps under the mail.
Padded balaklavas don't appear in the illustrations of the time.

    About the picture:
That's not an arming cap, it's a coif and the unarmoured model of them features coifs of several hues prominently.

That's not the one I was meaning. I need to find the right pic for it

True but considering that peasants couldn't afford good weapons and/or equipment, that's suitable from my humble opinion. But the choice is yours of course

I'm not saying that you are wrong.
I'm saying that the base model of all peasant troops will be unarmoured just like you say they ought to be.
Then the game allows for upgrades.
The working assumption here, is that when their lord can afford it and if he wants to, he pays out of his coffer for the better equipment, usually second hand.
